Night hub opens for rough sleepers - LiverpoolWorld Headlines

A temporary night assessment hub has opened to assist people found rough sleeping in Liverpool. The Council has worked with a number of partners to create a range of solutions, such as securing additional hotel rooms and 'sit-up' spaces across the city. The hub, which is close to the city centre, has essential amenities and provides a safe space, with separate rooms for males and females to assess people's housing and support needs.

The leader of Liverpool Council, Cllr Liam Robinson, has said the Council will back Everton in its efforts to clear its name. On Monday, the Toffees were hit by a second charge by the Premier League for an alleged breach of profit and sustainability rules. This follows the initial 10 point deduction in November after an independent commission found the club guilty of breaching financial regulations.

Jamie Webster is the latest artist to join Mayors Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham for their giant charity DJ Battle in Liverpool next month. The pair will be taking to the decks on Friday, 2 February 2024, at Camp and Furnace, as the Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester go head-to-head in aid of homelessness.
