00:00The council's independent review into the events surrounding the LFC parade crash will be released once all legal proceedings allow.
00:08It was meant to be a night of pure celebration.
00:11Thousands of LFC supporters had filled the streets of the city centre to mark their club's Premier League victory,
00:17surrounded by family, friends and that familiar sense of shared joy.
00:21But in a matter of seconds, that atmosphere was shattered.
00:24Liverpool Crown Court heard that Paul Doyle, 54, of Bourke Hill Road's West Derby, deliberately drove a Ford Galaxy into the crowds that May evening.
00:34More than 100 pedestrians were struck, including children as young as six months and a 78-year-old woman.
00:41Fifty of those casualties needed hospital treatment in the aftermath, though all were later discharged.
00:47Doyle had gone on trial this week and was initially rearranged on four amended counts.
00:52The jury had already been selected, seven men, five women and two reserved jurors appearing in the dock wearing a black suit and glasses.
00:58Doyle broke down in tears as he admitted each count on the indictment.
01:03The jury was discharged, having witnessed his guilty pleas from the benches where they had been seated for the trial.
01:10Liverpool Council leader Liam Robinson condemned the events, saying Doyle's deliberate actions turned what had been a day of joy and celebration into a terrifying incident.
01:20He thanked emergency services and council staff, describing their response as brave and life-saving.
01:26Councillor Robinson's also confirmed the council's independently-led expert review into what happened will be published soon.
01:33He added that Liverpool is a city that comes together in good times and bad,
01:37and that the incident demonstrated resilience and compassion across the community.
01:42Thank you very much.
