Community groups, charities and organisations in Garston are invited to apply for a share of £25,000, made available using money seized from criminals. With the focus on projects which aim to reduce and prevent crime through youth engagement, bidding groups will pitch their ideas to a group of schoolchildren.

Wirral Council has revealed the first designs as it looks to move Birkenhead Market into a former Argos within the Pyramids Shopping Centre. The move has been controversial with Birkenhead's MP, opposition councillors, and traders who said they've been kept in the dark about the plans.

Andy Burnham and Steve Rotheram are set to face off against each other in a DJ Battle fundraiser in Liverpool next year. The Mayors will take to the decks on Friday, 2 February, at Camp and Furnace to raise money to support initiatives to tackle homelessness and end the need for rough sleeping.
