00:11 He said the public need not be alarmed and can trust the police to conduct

00:16 transparent investigations into criminal cases involving its personnel.

00:20 Razairuddin said every personnel undergoes stringent supervision

00:25 and the police have methods to apprehend those implicated in criminal activities.

00:30 He said of the 137,000 personnel, less than 2% are involved in disciplinary

00:36 offences or criminal cases due to vigilant supervision by superior officers.

00:41 He also said that supervisors do a comprehensive roll call briefing 15 minutes before going on

00:48 duty as this is a significant preventive measure against deviations from duty.

00:53 He was commenting on the apprehension of two policemen suspected of being involved

00:58 in the robbery and rape of a private college student in Bukit Ampang View last Tuesday.
