Good morning from the Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04
The weather forecast is here.
00:06
Today is Thursday, December 28, 2023.
00:10
In our latest satellite images, we can see that there is almost no cloud in a large part of our country.
00:16
In the light of the northeastern wind, we are still expecting a big chance of rain,
00:22
especially in the northern and central Luzon.
00:27
We are expecting a big chance of rain in Cagayan Valley Region, Aurora and Quezon.
00:33
In the northern and central Luzon, we are still expecting an easterly wind.
00:38
This is the wind from the Pacific Ocean.
00:41
A large part of our country is expected to experience generally fair weather,
00:44
but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still possible,
00:48
especially in the eastern region of our country, the Eastern Visayas, Caraga and Davao Region.
00:54
Based on the latest data, we are not seeing any low-pressure areas or typhoons inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:04
It is possible that by the end of this year, we will have a chance of having a typhoon.
01:11
But we are still expecting isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,
01:16
especially in the Visayas and Minanao Region.
01:20
If we go to Luzon, we will see a big chance of rain,
01:25
especially in the Cagayan Valley Region, Aurora and Quezon,
01:30
which are the northern and central Luzon regions.
01:33
This is a region that is a part of the so-called Type 2 climate.
01:38
In this region, especially in the months of December, January and February,
01:43
there is a big chance of rain.
01:46
This is due to the effect of the Northeast Monsoon.
01:50
They are the first to experience the heavy rains of the Northeast Monsoon,
01:54
which comes from the northeastern region.
01:56
Meanwhile, in the northern and central Luzon, we are still expecting the possibility of light rain showers.
02:03
While in the southern Luzon, the Bicol Region and Mimaropa,
02:07
it is possible for thunderstorms to occur.
02:11
This usually happens in the afternoon and evening.
02:14
The average temperature is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:17
In Baguio, it is 17 to 25 degrees Celsius.

03:45
You will see that in Camaynilaan, Baguio, Legazpi, Metro Cebu, and Metro Davao,

while there is a possibility of isolated light rains in Camaynilaan

and Baguio City.
04:07
We also expect that in the next few days, the wind will be weaker.

This means that the Camaynilaan region will experience isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
04:19
