Marcos orders Congress to prioritize passage of anti-dynasty bill, 3 others

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. orders Congress to prioritize the passage of four proposed legislative measures, including the Anti-Dynasty Bill and Partylist System Reform Act 'to institutionalize transparency and accountability,' says Palace Press Office Claire Castro. Castro said on Dec. 9, 2025 the Legislative-Executive Deelopment Advisory Council (Ledac) also agreed on the timelines for the passage of the General Appropriations Bill and its submission to the President for signing into law. Present during the meeting were Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Speaker Faustino Dy III, Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri and other congressional leaders.

00:06Anti-Dynasty Bill, Independent People's Commission Act, Partly System Reform Act,
00:14Citizens' Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability or CADENA Act
00:19to institutionalize transparency and accountability on public finance.
00:24In a LEDAC meeting this morning, the President also instructed both houses to take a closer look at the four bills
00:32and prioritize the passage as soon as possible.
00:36Present during the LEDAC were Senate President Vicente Salto III, House Speaker Faustino D. III,
00:42and Majority Leader Sandro Marcos and other congressional leaders.
00:46The LEDAC also agreed on the timeliness, or rather timelines, for the passage of the General Appropriations Bill
00:53and the submission of the Enrolled Bill for the President's signature.
