DOST-PNRI features advancement of nuclear technologies in 53rd atomic energy week

The Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI) kicks off the 53rd Atomic Energy Week (AEW) on Dec. 9, 2025 with the goal of empowering all generations through nuclear science and technology under the theme, 'Gen Atom: I Want a Nuclear Philippines.' The week-long event at the PNRI headquarters in Quezon City, showcased the latest advancements by Filipino scientists, including innovations in nuclear medicine, environmental applications, and radiation technologies for tackling pressing issues like plastic pollution. In a tour with The Manila Times, PNRI Director Carlo Arcilla showcased some of the advancements that the institute was able to achieve over the years.
