00:00 Children are the future of the nation. Each one would choose his or her path in life,
00:05 with some going on to play football. And what could have been better for these youngsters
00:10 who took part in the second annual Tinto Sporting Academy One Day Football Tournament earlier
00:14 this month at the Montague Recreation Ground. And the man behind it all is former national
00:19 footballer Hayden Tinto, who runs the academy.
00:22 Thanks again to all the coaches and all the parents that come out today to give us this
00:27 big support. And I want to say well done to my assistant coach, Chad Washington, for giving
00:32 me the pullout since Tinto's academy started. He stayed with me, and this is how me and
00:38 Chad Washington have the academy where it is right now today.
00:42 Gateway Athletics were also involved in the tournament with Tinto Sporting Academy, and
00:46 Managing Director Shem Alexander was pleased to be a part of such an initiative.
00:50 Yes, so we targeted different local clubs and communities. So we have teams from as
00:56 far west as Lamont Hill and as far east as Arima. We have Beatniks Academy, Ultimate
01:03 Unisons, Gateway Athletics, FC Gengar, Justin Immerfield.
01:08 After putting in the hard work, it was only right to reward the teams for a job well done.
01:14 Ultimate Unisons were the under-nine winners, while Tinto Sporting Academy took the under-13
01:19 winners. Beatniks won the under-15 and Gengar FC the under-17.
