West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd was expensive, but took three wickets as defending champs RCB beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opener.

The Sunrisers made 201 for 9, with captain Ishan Kishan scoring 80.

In reply, RCB reached 203 for 4 in the 16th over, with Virat Kohli hitting 69 not out.
