00:00So whatever is the motive for the sabotage, whether it is political or otherwise, we are still waiting for the
00:08authorities to conduct and finish their investigations.
00:11But I want to say we are coming for you.
00:14We will not tolerate this type of vandalism against state entities that carries out an essential service both to the
00:23people of Tobago and Trinidad.
00:24And today you have almost committed treason against the people of Tobago.
00:29Minister Padaric said stronger legislation will be brought to Parliament in treating with these acts of violence against the country's
00:38public utilities.
00:39There will be increased security across WASA's facilities and also we will be coming to the Parliament in terms of
00:47legislating to increase the fines.
00:50We will be working with the TTPS over the next coming days in terms of the specific attacks.
00:55But this is nothing short of sabotage.
00:58But when you are sabotaging WASA's facilities, it means that you are sabotaging the people of Trinidad and Tobago.

01:12And therefore I've spoken with the Honorable Attorney General when I reviewed the WASA Act.
01:16Many of the fines are very, very low because what we are also experiencing is a number of thefts across
01:23the country, both in Trinidad and Tobago, with respect to water, WASA's water.
01:30Padaric said it was a malicious act on the people of Tobago.
01:34This is nothing short of sabotage that is occurring.
01:39There is a reduction in water supply looking at about 20% across the island between today and yesterday as
01:50a result of these malicious attacks.
