00:08overtime in accordance with the established overtime framework for the sector.
00:14The authority explained that overtime is calculated as follows. Time and a half of the hourly rate for the first
00:21four hours. Double time for the next four hours. Triple time for any hours worked beyond eight.
00:29As a result, overtime rates vary depending on an officer's position within the salary scale. For registered nurses, overtime rates
00:38currently range from approximately $64.96 per hour to $173.67 per hour,
00:47while enrolled nursing assistants receive overtime ranging from approximately $50.43 per hour to $132.14 per hour.
00:59The TRHA says the institution remains committed to ensuring that all nursing personnel are fairly compensated while continuing to deliver
01:09efficient and sustainable health care services to the population of Tobago.
01:14The authority also emphasizes that all nursing personnel will continue to operate strictly within the established scope of their roles
01:24and professional responsibilities in line with the currently established policies and clinical guidelines.
