00:00 But boy, things are changing, aren't they?
00:01 Look at this.
00:03 That's what you need to know right off
00:05 the top, because if you're like me and
00:06 you're tired of the
00:07 wintryness, fine.
00:10 OK, just last half of the week.
00:12 This is where it is. It starts to get
00:13 unseasonably warm.
00:14 What's happening in the north central
00:16 will start to make its way farther
00:18 east in this ridge will make its
00:19 way over now.
00:21 The Great Lakes bringing
00:22 unseasonably warm air with
00:25 it. Now, as you get into the weekend,
00:27 here's where things change.
00:28 Do you have things being stormy
00:30 Sunday through Sunday nights
00:32 and some of those storms will pack a
00:34 punch, especially into the
00:36 mid-Atlantic regions.
00:37 This is going to be flooding rainfall
00:39 and gusty winds.
00:41 Dental force and hail could be there
00:43 as well. Speaking of wind gusts,
00:45 check it out.
00:46 Sunday to Sunday night, things
00:48 are to be very windy along
00:50 the Great Lakes.
00:51 You're going to see those wind gusts
00:52 anywhere between 50 to 60 miles
00:54 an hour. So got some localized
00:56 wind damage. I know holiday
00:57 decorations are out.
00:58 Those could blow around and we have
01:00 the potential for some power
01:01 outages.
01:02 So those are the three things that
01:03 are happening ahead.
01:04 Those are your big stories.
01:05 Now let's get into the meat
01:06 potatoes.
01:07 Here's what's happening now.
01:09 You're seeing some snow.
01:10 I mean, in the beginning of the
01:12 week, we got it on some snow,
01:13 especially over the weekend,
01:14 beginning of the week.
01:15 Now we're seeing this clipper
01:16 system make its way through.
01:18 And when it comes to who
01:20 has what in terms
01:21 of snow?
01:23 Well, you're seeing feet
01:25 of snow and the Adirondacks,
01:27 Green and White Mountains and
01:28 portions of Maine.
01:29 So that's who's really getting in
01:30 on the snow. And tonight we'll
01:32 continue to see areas
01:34 like Burlington with
01:36 some flurries in there.
01:37 Same thing with Buffalo
01:38 and some winter showers
01:40 and portions of Pittsburgh
01:42 around the Ohio Valley there.
01:44 Now, tomorrow,
01:46 well, a place like Snowshoe
01:49 in West Virginia, when you wake
01:51 up in the morning, you'll be
01:52 seeing about one to three inches
01:53 of snow.
01:54 You know the deal.
01:56 Take back your patience for that
01:57 morning commute.
01:58 For the rest of the Northeast,
02:00 what is this?
02:02 Are things mostly drying out?
02:04 Well, yes, but we do have some
02:05 places that we'll see that winter
02:07 precipitation like Boston getting
02:08 in on snow, Pittsburgh
02:10 and into Charleston with
02:12 the wintry mixed precipitation.
02:13 Let me show you what things are
02:14 looking like.
02:15 There you go.
02:17 Mostly dry, right?
02:18 That's what we're talking about.
02:19 That's the story for Wednesday.
02:21 Now, Thursday,
02:22 I want you to notice something.
02:25 Look a little farther west past
02:26 Lake Michigan.
02:27 You see some of that yellow?
02:28 We don't have temperatures for it
02:30 yet, but it's a signal of things
02:32 to come.
02:32 So you're seeing the spread all
02:33 the way from the 20s to the 50s.
02:35 Now I'm going to take out New
02:37 England, Maine and New England,
02:38 because we're not really getting
02:40 in on the warmth like that.
02:41 I'm sorry.
02:42 But Friday, here goes the
02:44 warm front.
02:45 Behind that in the warm sector,
02:46 that's where you're going to see
02:48 those temperatures warm
02:49 up mild like 40s and
02:51 50s.
02:52 I know I'm ready in Pennsylvania
02:54 for those 40s and 50s. Kevin.
