00:00 The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has disregarded Aman Palestine's warning of legal
00:07 action if it does not release the NGO's bank accounts in three days.
00:12 MACC Chief Commissioner Azam Baki said, although he had yet to receive any letter from Aman
00:17 Palestine over the matter, the anti-graft agency was ready to face any legal challenge
00:22 from the NGO.
00:23 Azam said, "MACC had acted professionally, without any malice or ill will towards anyone."

00:32 Yesterday, Aman Palestine's lawyer Rafiq Rashid Ali said, "MACC had three days to unfreeze
00:37 the bank accounts, failing which, the matter would be taken to court."
00:41 Recently, MACC froze 41 bank accounts belonging to Aman Palestine and several other companies,
00:48 which had a combined total of RM15.8 million as part of an investigation into the alleged
00:53 misappropriation of RM70 million by the NGO.
00:57 Rafiq said, "The press release by MACC was tantamount to character assassination of the
01:03 NGO and its board members, and was impeding local NGOs from providing much-needed assistance
