I want people to not make excuses to do their dreams.
00:04
I'm Swiss Beats.
00:06
My reputation as a renowned, multi-platinum music producer
00:09
runs parallel to my passion for cars.
00:12
My son Nasir and I will set out on a journey
00:14
to explore different car cultures across the globe.
00:17
How y'all doing today, brothers?
00:19
What's going on? What's going on?
00:21
My first question is for you, Swiss.
00:24
When did your love and affinity for automobiles begin?
00:27
It began in the Bronx, seeing cars go by that I couldn't afford.
00:31
This is my car, that's my car, I'm going to get this one day.
00:35
And then finally getting a Nissan Z300 twin turbo for about 6k.
00:41
My dream car at that time was the Countach, which I definitely couldn't afford.
00:45
But ever since I got the Z, it's just been on since then.
00:49
If y'all are both walking to a vehicle, who's driving?
00:53
It depends on which the vehicle.
00:55
Nah, he's driving.
00:57
So Nasir, man, my next question is for you, my brother.
01:00
Tell me, how was it like working with your dad on this particular docuseries?
01:04
And was y'all relationship more father-son or was it like co-star, co-star?
01:09
It was more of a partnership.
01:11
It was more of a partnership in executing our vision
01:14
and executing what we thought people really needed to take from what we were doing.
01:20
It was just very, very equally synthesized in a way.
01:24
Do you have a favorite vehicle and why?
01:27
Yeah, bro, you see, I like vehicles that people just can't get usually.
01:33
So I like, I want this Batmobile from the last Batman movie,
01:38
which is like the 78 Charger, but they completely decked it out.
01:42
So that's on my list right now.
01:44
How did this idea for this show come about?
01:48
It came about from obviously my love for cars for so long
01:51
and collecting cars for many years, winning car shows,
01:54
and then eventually having this opportunity with Onyx Collective and Hulu,
01:59
Jay Brown and Tata as well.
02:01
And we wanted to put something together that brought all of the worlds together,
02:05
you know, not just showing you expensive million-dollar cars,
02:08
which we could have easily did.
02:10
We wanted to show community. We wanted to show travel.
02:13
We wanted to show family.
02:15
We wanted to show things that's happening right in our backyard
02:19
that we might not have known.
02:21
And we wanted to educate people as much as possible
02:23
and let the drive actually be the drive.
02:26
Yes.
02:27
Yes.
02:28
And this next question is actually for both of you gentlemen.
02:31
What message do you hope that audience members gain from this show after they watch it?
02:37
I hope that they're inspired and they get up and know that you could find,
02:42
find your universal language, right?
02:45
Everyone is able to hear and perceive different languages
02:50
and everyone has a specific frequency.
02:54
So if you're able to tune into that frequency, into that golden frequency,
02:58
you could really, really just create something beautiful and use your--
03:02
inspire yourself.
03:03
Really, like, the biggest inspiration to us should be ourselves,
03:07
should be us growing, should be us watering our own plant.
03:13
My shoes, first.
03:15
I want people to not make excuses to do their dreams
03:19
because, you know, we've seen people build engines with their hands.
03:23
We've seen people print 3D print engines.
03:26
We've seen people work on cars for 10 years straight just to get it right.
03:30
I mean, that vehicle would actually not be for sale.
03:33
We've seen the discipline and the patience, you know, which I've gained from the show.
03:37
You know, we want people to get educated in different areas
03:40
that might motivate them in their main area, even if they're not into cars.
03:44
You know, so that's why it's a car show, but it's actually a life show.
03:48
Thousand percent.
03:50
All right, well, Swiss, Nasir, thank you so much, gentlemen.
03:53
I really appreciate y'all.
03:54
Thank you, my brother.
