00:00 So Zeno, the SEC Championship game is now set.
00:03 It's the only Power Five conference
00:04 that has their title game set at this moment.
00:08 It's Alabama and Georgia.
00:10 We'll look at that line in Atlanta in the opening.
00:13 Okay, we'll look at it right now.
00:14 In Atlanta to start off the opening weekend of December
00:19 right here, right now.
00:20 Zeno, we'll get back to that in just a moment.
00:22 Let's talk about the Crimson Tide,
00:24 who have a non-FBS, non-conference game this Saturday
00:28 against Chattanooga, but Alabama's rolling.
00:31 Their only loss this year was against Texas early on.
00:35 The Crimson Tide have covered
00:36 in six of their seven SEC games as well.
00:40 Zeno, in your evaluation of Alabama,
00:42 what have the Tide figured out?
00:44 Well, they've figured out how to play more consistent offense
00:49 and their defense has gotten better every single week.
00:51 Look, like Jalen Milrow is one of the more efficient
00:53 passers in the country,
00:55 especially when it comes to throwing the ball
00:55 down the field.
00:57 They're one of the top players, or at the top of college
00:59 football in that category.
01:00 And when you look at Alabama, you know,
01:02 they've figured out how to balance the run in the past
01:05 and they've just become a very consistent football team.
01:08 And I think when you look at Alabama more than anything,
01:10 they're doing the one thing that Georgia necessarily isn't,
01:14 and that's getting better each week
01:17 and becoming the best version of themselves
01:19 at this point in time.
01:21 Again, Georgia hasn't seen an opponent like Alabama
01:23 all year long.
01:24 I mean, we owe all deference to Ole Miss and even to a certain
01:28 extent Missouri, but they're not at the level of Alabama.
01:30 I mean, neither one of those teams obviously
01:32 would be favored, and we know what Alabama did
01:34 to Ole Miss earlier this year.
01:35 So, you know, this is just a completely different level
01:37 what Georgia's gonna see the first weekend
01:39 in December in Atlanta.
01:40 Let's get that Atlanta graphic ready here up on the screen
01:44 because it's coming, it's official here.
01:45 Georgia and Alabama will be playing a four-point line
01:50 here, Georgia, as that slight favorite
01:51 over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
01:53 Also, as we know, look, this game is coming here,
01:55 but there are football games to be played in between.
01:57 If I ask you this question right now, two-pronged attack,
02:00 who's going to win this game, Mark?
02:02 And also, what is that closing line, do you think,
02:04 going to be by the time we get game time?
02:06 Well, it's interesting to note, DRS,
02:08 that that line has come down.
02:10 Two weeks ago, the proposed line on that was 6 1/2.
02:13 So, it tells you odds makers are realizing
02:16 how much better Alabama is getting.
02:19 And again, I think some of that had the tight game
02:21 against Missouri and, you know, I guess for the first half
02:24 against Ole Miss, that it looked like, you know,
02:26 they might have been able to hang around a little bit.
02:27 But, you know, I think this game will also be
02:30 a little bit telling as to what this line closes at,
02:33 simply because, again, the final game of the regular season
02:35 isn't going to matter for Georgia against Georgia Tech.
02:37 Maybe Alabama might lose a little luster
02:39 if they struggle with Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
02:41 But I think Alabama is, I think it's going to be
02:46 one of these games, guys, where the spread
02:47 doesn't really matter because either Alabama wins outright
02:50 or Georgia wins by margin, right?
02:52 Like, I don't know that necessarily this comes down
02:54 to a field goal between these two teams,
02:56 especially the way they play.
02:58 If Georgia can get a lead,
02:59 they're going to control the entire pace.
03:01 And that's why I keep talking about it.
03:02 What happens in the second half late
03:04 when Georgia forces teams into passing situations
03:06 and forces them to kind of be one-dimensional,
03:09 that's where they really excel.
03:11 The only way for Alabama to win this game
03:13 or cover it, rather, is just to go out and win it outright.
03:17 So, I don't know that the number necessarily
03:19 going to matter, especially at under a touchdown.
