00:00 The Court of Appeal has scheduled February 28th and 29th next year
00:03 for the hearing of the prosecution's appeal seeking the reinstatement
00:06 of four corruption charges against Muhyiddin Yassin
00:09 in connection with his administration's Jannah-Ubi Bawa program.
00:12 According to the charges,
00:14 the former Prime Minister stands accused of abusing his powers
00:17 to obtain RM232.5 million for his political party.
00:21 The hearing dates were fixed during case management today.
00:27 The court also instructed the prosecution and Muhyiddin's defense team
00:30 to file submissions by February 26th.
00:33 Last month, the High Court struck out the four charges against Muhyiddin
00:38 after Justice Jamil Hussein ruled that the charges were defective
00:42 and did not disclose any offense.
00:44 Besides the four corruption charges,
00:48 the Perikatan Nasional Chairman is facing three counts of money laundering,
00:52 totaling RM200 million.
