00:03 - You never know with that guy, Mike.
00:04 You never know.
00:05 - Yeah, you know, my best friend, Dennis in Pittsburgh,
00:08 tweeted, or texted me this morning and said,
00:10 "What did I think about that possibility?"
00:12 And I immediately dismissed it.
00:14 And then I started talking about it with my editors
00:16 and I started thinking about it
00:18 and I started to look at how last year went for him
00:21 and how really, really dreadful it was.
00:24 And also how the Jets have spent this past off season
00:27 building toward this moment.
00:29 And to just let it go on,
00:32 well, Zach Wilson's there, let's give it a go,
00:35 without at least exploring the possibility
00:38 of getting the greatest quarterback of all time
00:40 to manage your offense.
00:42 Last year was the only losing season Tom Brady ever had.
00:47 They lost their final two games.
00:48 They got humiliated in the playoffs.
00:51 Wouldn't shock me if he said,
00:53 "Hey, that team up in New York is a lot better
00:55 "than the one that I just left in Tampa in 2022."
00:59 Maybe we could do some stuff and took a shot at it.
01:02 It wouldn't shock me.
01:03 There would be complications
01:04 because of the partial ownership of the Raiders.
01:07 He would either have to divest or put in, I don't know,
01:10 maybe they would let him put in a trust or whatever,
01:12 like they do when you're president.
01:14 I think that if Tom Brady wanted to play football this fall,
01:19 that some way they'd find a way around that.
01:22 I don't think the NFL would slam the door on Tom Brady
01:25 and say, "No, we don't want the biggest star
01:27 "in the history of the sport to play this year."
01:29 I don't think that would happen.
