00:02 Let's talk about the flip side here.
00:04 There may not be a ton of people who know Bet365 in the United States,
00:09 but Sam, internationally, they are one of the leaders and one of the most popular.
00:14 And it does appear with them launching in Kentucky, that they are ready to try and
00:19 continue, I know they're trying, but try and continue to make a statement
00:22 that they can be a player here in the United States.
00:26 >> Yeah, it's been an interesting story for Bet365, which likes to call itself
00:30 the world's largest sports book or the world's favorite sports book.
00:33 And that's not just by coincidence, they're by far the most popular sports
00:38 book internationally, sports betting has been legal in a ton of other places
00:41 across the globe for years, and they've really had a leg up there.
00:44 But they've been slow in the US market where they've only been in New Jersey
00:49 since PASPA was overturned and just last year launched in Colorado.
00:52 So at this time last year, they were only available in two states and
00:57 about 9 million adults.
00:59 And now all of a sudden ahead of football season, they are available in seven states
01:03 and about 30 million adults will have access to their products.
01:06 So it's a huge kind of paradigm shift just a year later,
01:09 not even a year later in many of these states cases.
01:13 And they've been on the sidelines forever kind of watching, waiting,
01:16 when's a good time to expand in the US.
01:18 And we're seeing now might be the most optimal time for them.
01:22 We've got other sports books lessening their promos, lessening their spending.
01:26 Bet365 is privately owned, so it doesn't have the same pressures that a DraftKings
01:30 or a Flutter which owns FanDuel does to show a profit from the business right away.
01:35 And so far we've been seeing them just pump out tons and
01:39 tons of promos in the few states where they're live.
01:41 Ohio, one of the only ones that tells you what the operators are doing.
01:46 It's dished out more promos than BetMGM and Caesars combined since January.
01:51 And those are two very big names.
01:53 Obviously Caesars is kind of synonymous with giving away promos just from
01:57 a historic reputation if not recently.
02:00 So to the fact that it's beating out both those books and promos and it's about
02:03 third and fourth, third or fourth depending on the month in market share in Ohio.
02:08 It's pretty significant.
02:09 So you've seen Bet365, maybe this is the time they're finally looking to expand.
02:15 There's a few other states on the horizon as well.
02:17 And they've got a really superior product with very fast live bet processing speeds.
02:22 So if they're able to pump out those promos and get people onto their product,
02:25 they have a good chance of keeping them because the product is so good.
