00:00Now one thing with Jamiyev, he's been hyped up as the next great one for a while now, but there's been inactivity, right?
00:07One thing after another, injury, illness, withdrawals, right?
00:12And it's just sort of, you know, he fights basically once a year.
00:14Let's call it out for what it is, essentially.
00:16He fights basically once a year.
00:18He hasn't been very active, but he's also scary as hell.
00:23And people that train with him think that he's, like, one of the greatest, like, all-time, like, in the Khabib type of range, that he's just point-blank unbeatable.
00:34You know, Duplessis is an awkward fighter, though, Lou.
00:39Is he awkward enough, though, to confuse Hazmat, which I think is going to be a problem for him?
00:47To me, Jamiyev has been inactive.
00:52He fought Whitaker, a shell.
00:55I shouldn't say a shell, but that's not the Robert Whitaker that we saw fight Yoel Romero.
01:01That was his last fight.
01:02So in the last year and a half, he's had one fight.
01:06Duplessis defended his title three times in the last two years.
01:10Duplessis is the active fighter.
01:12He's the legitimate 185-er.
01:15Jamiyev, early in his career, was bouncing between 85 and 70.
01:19Now, in the two fights that Jamiyev has won previous to Whitaker, Gil Burns and Kamara Usman, those are—Burns is a 155-er that took the fight at 70.
01:35And Usman is the X-170 champ who's now, for the most part, beyond his prime.
01:42And he took the fight up at 85 on short notice.
01:46And in each case, those men had Jamiyev into the second round, somewhat wobbled, tired, and showing himself to be a human being.
01:56Jamiyev gets shot out of a cannon, and for 7 to 10 minutes, he is the boogeyman, make no mistake about it.
02:04But Duplessis knows that and is going to plan on running from Jamiyev for two rounds to get this to the third round.
02:12No.
02:13No, no.
02:14Duplessis is going to meet fourth with fourth.
02:17And he is going to go right out after Jamiyev with the sole intention of testing him, testing him hard for 10 minutes.
02:26And if this fight hits the third round, I believe it's all Duplessis, and I am on the Duplessis side.
02:33Make no mistake about it, this is going to be a harrowing seven or eight minutes in those first two rounds.
02:41And the cardio has to be an issue, and that's something that people are talking about in this fight.
02:47And Driscus is an awkward fighter, Lou, right?
02:50Like, is he great at, like, he's not really great at anything, but he's good at everything.
02:54Like, and I think, I don't think it's cliche to say this, Lou.
02:59And I think fighters, I don't think people talk about it enough, but someone's mental toughness.
03:04Like, the dude just doesn't get broken, right?
03:07Like, he's confident going in.
03:09He doesn't get mentally broken.
03:11He believes that he is going to win.
03:13He believes that he is tougher than you and that you can't hurt him, right?
03:17And that helps if you have that belief.
03:21Without question.
03:22And he asked for this fight.
03:24He sought this fight out.
03:27And honestly, the other problem Jamiyev has had is visa issues.
03:32There's a long history there, and there's reasons he can't get to the U.S.
03:38Well, he got to the U.S., to Chicago for this fight because our president helped him.
03:43But that's another layer in this whole handicap.
03:49But at the end of the day, the winners of this fight are going to be the fans that tune in to watch this
03:55because it's going to be those two rams on the side of the hill lining up
04:01and then going and bashing each other right in the middle, and the best man's going to win.
