00:00 More warm weather to come over the next couple of days across the south.
00:03 Further north we're going to see more cloud on Tuesday and there'll be a few more showers around as well.
00:08 We've got low pressure moving in, squeezing away this area of high pressure.
00:12 But it is just about holding on across the far south.
00:16 These weather fronts toppling across Scotland and Northern Ireland,
00:19 bringing some outbreaks of rain through the evening and overnight.
00:22 Some heavy bursts of rain as well.
00:23 One or two heavy showers over southern Scotland, Northern England and Wales for a time.
00:27 They're heading out into the North Sea.
00:29 But the cloud and rain will continue to spread in across southern Scotland and Northern Ireland through the night.
00:34 Staying quite blustery as well across northern Britain.
00:37 Further south the winds lighter, could see some mist and fog patches forming as well.
00:41 Pretty much everywhere, though, it's going to be a fairly warm night, certainly across Scotland,
00:45 Northern Ireland temperatures holding up 15, even 16 degrees in some towns and cities.
00:50 So not a particularly cold start to Tuesday.
00:53 Some places, particularly the Midlands, Eastern England, should start off with quite a bit of sunshine.
00:58 There could be some mist and low cloud across the south, but that, like on Monday, should tend to melt away.
01:03 It will be a cloudier day compared to Monday across north Wales and northern England.
01:08 There will be some showers here through the day.
01:10 And same goes for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:12 Quite a lot of clouds, certainly initially with some showers.
01:15 I think as the day goes on, that cloud will tend to break up.
01:18 The showers will become fewer and further between.
01:20 So a better chance of a drier afternoon with some sunshine.
01:23 The wind's easing off as well.
01:25 So it'll feel a bit warmer come the afternoon, too.
01:27 With temperatures high teens, low 20s in eastern England with a bit more sunshine,
01:32 temperatures could easily get into the mid 20s with East Anglia in the southeast,
01:36 seeing some warm sunshine, 26, maybe 27 Celsius possible here.
01:41 Through Tuesday evening, still a few scattered showers over northern England,
01:44 Northern Ireland and western Scotland, but they do tend to fade.
01:48 So most places becoming dry as we head into Wednesday morning.
01:52 It will be a cooler start, certainly across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
01:56 Cooler air in place here.
01:57 So temperatures much lower on Wednesday morning compared to Tuesday morning.
02:02 Well down into single figures across the far north.
02:05 But in the south, it will be another pretty warm start on Wednesday.
02:08 And again, with some sunshine here, temperature will jump up again into the mid 20s.
02:14 Bit more cloud on Wednesday.
02:15 The chance of one or two showers for Wales, maybe the Midlands and then western Scotland,
02:19 seeing the showers returning, especially over the Highlands.
02:21 The possibility of some showery rain heading up towards Northern Ireland and western Scotland
02:26 later on.
02:27 But again, for many places dry with the sunniest skies across the south,
02:31 that's where we'll see those temperatures again getting up into the 20s, 23, 24,
02:36 across the southeast and East Anglia, 26, possibly 27.
02:39 But further north, temperatures are more likely to be in the high teens at best.
02:44 Bit of uncertainty about the rest of the week for our full week ahead forecast.
