00:03 The best way to learn about culture, architecture,
00:08 or people is by experience.
00:10 Journeys at Carver focus on community learning
00:12 and development by promoting vernacular skills
00:15 and techniques.
00:17 Our participants and travelers then
00:18 act as evangelists to propagate this knowledge.
00:22 Though the pandemic compelled us to pause travel,
00:24 we never stopped learning.
00:26 It actually helped us discover a more efficient path
00:29 to bring impact, that is, virtual workshops.
00:33 With the growing acceptance of online learning
00:35 as the mainstream medium, we started
00:37 training our local partners, artists, and masters
00:40 to instruct digitally.
00:42 Carver now acts as a platform for these skills and artists
00:45 to reach masses, grow economically, and promote
00:48 their heritage and culture.
00:50 Instead of 600 travelers in a year,
00:52 now we have grown to 6,000 plus evangelists
00:55 in less than four months.
00:56 Apart from upskilling, our workshops
00:59 also help these learners in exploring alternate careers
01:02 in travel, art, design, heritage, and conservation
01:06 without investing a lot of time or money.
01:09 With the help of this beautiful community,
01:11 we wish to strengthen the roots of tomorrow's changemakers
01:14 and guide them towards a more responsible, inclusive,
01:17 and sustainable future.
