00:04 News Minute daily numbers game. Steve Hatchell, National Football Foundation, gives us some

00:08 statistics at the beginning of the 2023 season that are really interesting. There are a million

00:13 student athletes playing high school football and other sports. 15,000 high schools all over

00:21 the country. Women's sports, girls, about 473,000 playing flag football. An increase of nearly 50%,

00:29 which is huge. On the college level, about 770 institutions boast college football. 81,000 are

00:37 playing. The bottom line is more and more students are playing. With Title IX helping, NIL motivating,

00:45 everybody's seeing that that is a very significant opportunity. 0.41% of college players make it to

00:54 opening NFL rosters. Pretty significant, but yet football survives and thrives.
