00:18 I'm a general manager here at Bold Central in Ferryn.

00:21 As for the release of Barbie today,

00:24 we've got loads going on.

00:25 We've got Barbie herself here.

00:27 We've also got promotions around a Barbie cocktail,

00:29 and actually anybody that's dressed as Barbie,

00:32 or you know, wants to put a bit of pink on and come in,

00:34 can get five pound credit in the arcade for free today.

00:36 So make sure you get down.

00:38 - Excellent, and tell us about maybe the film as well.

00:40 Are you excited to see the film?

00:42 - Oh, absolutely, yeah, Barbie.

00:44 So my name's Belinda, and we're gonna be making

00:46 a Barbie cocktail today for the new Barbie film release.

00:50 So to start off, you need to get a wedge of lime,

00:52 wrap it around the edge of a martini glass,

00:54 and add sugar as well to the glass.

00:57 And then you wanna pour 25 mil of absolute vodka

01:00 into your shaker, and you wanna add 50 mil of tequila rose,

01:05 50 mil of milk, and 25 mil of strawberry syrup,

01:09 just to get that extra pink color in.

01:11 Shake it all up, pour, strain it into your glass,

01:15 and then write a B with strawberry syrup

01:18 into the top of the drink.

01:19 So once you've written a B into the top of the glass

01:21 with your strawberry syrup,

01:23 then you wanna get some squirty cream

01:24 and just squirt a bit of it on the side of the glass.

01:27 So that's how you get your Barbie drink,

01:29 and it tastes absolutely beautiful,

01:31 lots and lots of strawberry and sweet flavors

01:33 inside of that, enjoy.

01:46 We're here today, it's the opening release day of Barbie,

01:50 which is looking like it's gonna be

01:51 biggest film of the year,

01:53 easily it looks like at the moment.

01:54 Lots of numbers already for all our sites

01:57 we've got 15 sites across the UK,

01:58 all looking really busy,

01:59 I think it's the same for all of our other friends

02:02 and family in the cinema world.

02:04 Yeah, busy day ahead,

02:06 pretty much all our show-ins and our biggest screen

02:08 looking like they're gonna sell out.

02:10 Big day for the film, good to see everyone coming back

02:13 after COVID-19, lots of delays,

02:15 we've got the film industry back up and running,

02:17 obviously issues at the moment

02:18 with the writer's strike and such,

02:20 but looking good for the film today.

02:23 Yeah, it's gonna be a busy one.

02:26 I think the Barbie has connected to so many people so far,

02:30 I think it's got such a massive appeal,

02:32 it looks like it's got people

02:33 from all sorts of walks of life,

02:34 people remember from their childhood,

02:36 people bringing their families,

02:37 but also people interested in film as well,

02:39 it looks like it's a bit of a visual spectacle,

02:42 and some big names and some big stars.

02:44 Yeah, I think it's got everything to be a big blockbuster,

02:47 and we're looking like it's gonna be a busy few weeks

02:48 for us here.

02:49 Any film this size, I know they don't want anyone

02:52 getting it early or anything,

02:54 they don't want any issues of, well, we're scared of piracy,

02:56 which is fair enough, it's such a popular film.

02:58 So I haven't seen it myself yet, looking forward to it.

03:01 Yeah, plenty of opportunity to see it,

03:03 'cause we're gonna have it every day, definitely.

03:06 Especially in the mornings,

03:07 we've got our 3.49 tickets before 1 p.m.,

03:10 so definitely a great opportunity for anyone

03:11 to come and see it over the next few weeks,

03:13 we're open, we open every day from 10.

03:15 So yeah, plenty of showings all around,

03:17 so I'm sure everyone, all the staff as well,

03:19 will end up seeing it, I'm sure, over the next few weeks.
