WA single-use plastic ban comes into effect for businesses state-wide

Environmental groups say WA is leading the nation when it comes to banning single-use plastics, after the first stage of new rules limiting their use came into effect on the first of January. Many businesses have already made the change, which could prove challenging for people with disabilities, who may find it harder with fewer plastic straws in circulation.
