00:02Futureform Civil was pouring concrete and supplying workers on the Western Sydney airport metro line.
00:09The state government now says the family business is suspected of underpaying workers having inadequate insurance and tax fraud following
00:17an investigation by senior counsel Max Kimber.
00:20It's understood Futureform didn't gain approval to source workers from downstream contractors and because of this wasn't able to track
00:29who was on site and how much they were paid.
00:32The government says basic details on invoices worth more than $10 million couldn't be clarified.
00:38There was at least one instance of a worker asked to come on site and be paid cash in hand.
00:44He was then transferred money to his bank account by an unknown subcontractor.
00:49The State Transport Minister says there's been a lack of cooperation by some parties during the investigation and Futureform has
00:58now been reported to multiple investigative bodies.
01:01This has now been referred to the Independent Commission Against Corruption to the New South Wales Crime Commission.
01:07They are doing important work in other areas and if there are concerns here I think taxpayers, members of the
01:13public in New South Wales should feel confident that they've got the ability to be able to get to the
01:19bottom of these issues.
01:21Futureform has now been taken off the $11 billion project but it's not yet known how long this will delay
01:27the line or how much it will blow out its budget.
