Thousands of people gathered at vigils around the country last night in memory of five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby one week after she was found dead on the outskirts of Alice Springs. More than two thousand people turned up at the Alice event, hearing a statement from the child’s mother, saying she wanted her daughter to be remembered as a happy child who loved the colour pink. A warning, this story contains the image of an Indigenous person who has died, used with the permission of her family.
