Locals nurse broken dreams after flooding destroys businesses in New York state
"It's pretty catastrophic," says Jim Lanza, returning to his office for the first time since the remnants of Hurricane Ida flooded his office in the New York suburb of Mamaroneck. A few streets away, Marcio Rodrigues wades through water to his destroyed car repair shop. "It was my dream. And I feel like I have lost everything now." The storm caused devastating floods in the US northeast, killing at least 47 people.
