Bolivian President Evo Morales expressed confidence that La Paz would win its case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague on access to the sea. Chilean lawyers argued that the ICJ does not have jurisdiction in the case, but Morales said their presence in the court is an acknowledgement that it indeed does. Bolivia is calling on Chile to honor its previous commitments as expressed in the Bogota Pact on granting the landlocked country maritime access, a demand supported by other Latin American Countries. ICJ deliberations began Monday and will continue until May 8. teleSUR
