On Friday, thousands of Venezuelans took to the streets of downtown Caracas to commemorate the 57th anniversary of the civil insurrection that led to the downfall of dictator Marcos Perez Jimenez in 1958. Today's ceremony was led by President Nicolas Maduro. He spoke of the economic war and destabilization plans orchestrated by the Venezuelan right, with the aim of causing a coup d'etat. teleSUR.
