IRAQ - Violence rocks Iraq ahead of parliamentary polls

Iraq is gearing up for parliamentary elections on Wednesday, but they have been overshadowed by violence and sectarian tension. As early voting got underway on Monday there were suicide attacks at several polling stations. The deadliest one saw some 25 people killed. UN chief Ban Ki-moon condemned the attacks and urged Iraqi leaders to make sure everyone is able to take part in the political process. Observers say the elections will be split along sectarian lines.
