00:00This is a 1959 Gibson Les Pauls Standard, one of the 643-ish 1959 Gibson Les Pauls Standard ever made.
00:10Hey guys, this is Matt from Matt's Guitar Shop in Paris today with a beautiful guitar that has never been
00:16actually filmed before for any guitar magazine.
00:19And this one has a great story. It's a total player guitar because this has been played and gigged like
00:28all its life in Mexico.
00:29In the area of Tijuana, that's why we called it the Tijuana Burst and when it came to us, the
00:36original owner tried to graft a piece of wood and change the headstock, keeping the original serial number on the
00:44new headstock and then we just saw that the work was just, you know, wrongly done and the owner who
00:52brought us this guitar had a beautiful renec on keeping the original fingerboard, the original inlays.
00:59Of course, the original PEF, the pots, but you know, what a beautiful result. This guitar is a complete player.
01:06It sounds monstrously good. It has a great story.
01:10That's the very first video we are doing with it. Hope you guys enjoy. Tijuana Burst is coming back.
