00:00It's incredibly flamey, and one of the most important features is it's still got a lot of the original red
00:06colour.
00:06My name's Andrew Raymond. I own this guitar, which is called the Minnesota Burst.
00:12I've owned this guitar since 2001.
00:14The previous owner was someone called Dan Moline, who played in a band called the Buddy Coopmans Orchestra.
00:21Dan Moline passed away in 1991, and his family owned it after that.
00:26He bought it new from a shop in Faribow, Minnesota, and you've certainly said that he played it regularly for
00:3125 years.
00:32I mean, you can see some of the wear down each side, but the back of it is still in
00:37very good condition
00:38because, from what I've told, just stop paying it, put it back in its case, and that was it.
00:42So it's incredibly flamey, and one of the most important features is it's still got a lot of the original
00:49red colour.
00:49A lot of them do fade, as you know.
00:52I've refretted it because the frets were gone when I had it.
00:55Another person I bought it from is a gentleman called Dave Miller, and he remembers seeing Dan Moline play this
01:02in 1978 at a high school prom.
01:06He knew Dan Moline's son, and so when it came up for sale, Dave bought it.
01:11It went through Seminars of the Sands, and I bought it.
01:13I heard about a really big burst coming from, like, the north of the States in early 2001, I think.
01:19And so I had an inkling this was coming about, but when it actually happened, I was sent two pictures
01:24of this, and I'd never seen pictures like it.
01:27So in 48 hours, I sort of had to get my act together.
01:31This was, you know, a lot of money, but it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
01:35You don't get another chance to buy a guitar like this.
