03:29supposed to do.
03:30You guys are what make this show what it is.
03:32Thank you, thank you, thank you for tuning in.
03:34I am Dr. Fro.
03:35Thank you so much, as I said, for joining us tonight.
03:37We are talking WWE NXT and here's the deal.
03:41We know that tonight's NXT show is going head-to-head with Blood and Guts, the Dynamite episode with
03:46AEW.
03:47We'll get into that in their own separate episode.
03:50But this, this was going to be a stacked show and I'm going to tell you right now, spoiler
03:54alert, like, I don't know what the ratings are going to look like for these two shows,
03:58but no matter what they come back looking, both of these shows deserve to get a lot of
04:04screen time in your home because they were fantastic.
04:07We kick off NXT finding out that Shawn Michaels is kicking Kevin Owens out of the building so
04:13he will not get involved in the Grayson Waller CM Punk main event, which I think every person
04:19in the building or on television or streaming saw that and right away knew in their heart
04:24that KO would be involved some way, shape, or form just to build more heat for the match
04:30that they are having this week.
04:32That being said, the show kicks off with Chad Gable, Rey Fenix, and Dragon Lee taking on
04:37the Vanity Project, who are in possession of the majority of the NXT goal.
04:42They have the North American Championship and the Tag Team Championship.
04:46The match is solid, good stuff.
04:49I really thought one of the important things that I saw in this match, the overhead superplex
04:54on the corner by Chad Gable, he came down very hard.
04:57There were people who were worried that maybe the reason they took the Intercontinental Championship
05:01off of him on Raw and gave it to Ethan Page was because he may have been legitimately injured.
05:06That is not the case.
05:07A different report came out and said the reason they took that IC title off of him is because
05:11they believe that he is ready to move into the main event scene.
05:14It's also part of why he beat CM Punk clean at that, essentially, a house show over last week.
05:20I believe it was October 29th.
05:22So, looks like there's a push in line for Chad Gable to the highest level of the Raw brand.
05:28But in the meantime, it was pretty obvious to me that this was, that he was not suffering
05:34any injury or anything like that.
05:38But this really, I thought, when you talk about three of the best in-ring workers, even though
05:45this is an NXT show where they really need to be very careful to not overexpose the weaknesses
05:53of the younger talent when they're going in there with the veterans, this was really good.
05:58This six-man match was fantastic.
05:59And I really love that we got a chance to give Vanity Project some valuable on-screen
06:05time with main roster stars.
06:06Now, look, they got beaten pretty handily, which they should.
06:09But this was still really exciting, really top-to-bottom solid stuff.
06:13We get a conversation.
06:14And by the way, Chad Gable, Ray Phoenix, Dragon Lee, all putting on finishers at the end
06:18of the match.
06:19The most important one, the pinfall in the middle of the ring for them to pick up the victory.
06:24That being said, which, by the way, was from Dragon Lee, while Ray Phoenix and Chad Gable
06:31had submission holds on their opponents.
06:33We do get a backstage segment with Shiloh Hill and CM Punk.
06:36And there's a lot of respect to go around between the two, talking about if Punk wins
06:40a championship, how Shiloh would like a shot at the championship.
06:43And it sounded very receptive.
06:45But they get interrupted by Grayson Waller, who makes it very clear that he's not losing
06:49tonight.
06:50And he's the one.
06:51He's going to be the champion.
06:51And so he's the person he should be asking for a championship opportunity.
06:56I'm fine with this, no matter what was going to happen.
06:58Because at the end of the day, Shiloh Hill is being booked very strong right now.
07:01And for those who don't follow him, he was on LFG to begin with.
07:05LFG gets no love, for the most part, in the wrestling community.
07:08But let's be honest, this is a situation where that's exactly where Shiloh Hill comes from.
07:14He has grown into a fantastic homegrown talent for NXT.
07:18And I love he's in the position he's in.
07:20Next out, we get Kalani Jordan with a challenger who's yet to be named.
07:25Now, if you were paying attention to the dirt sheets earlier in the day, you already had
07:29this ruined for you.
07:30They hit the music and Paige comes out to accept the challenge of Kalani Jordan.
07:35And look, again, a very competitive match.
07:38It was solid work back and forth.
07:39I actually thought they contemplated maybe giving the championship to Paige.
07:43In the end, Paige ends up being defeated by a roll-up.
07:47If you're going to defeat a legend like Paige by somebody in NXT, I really wish it would be
07:54something stronger than just a roll-up.
07:56Getting a quick win like that, foot on the rope, seems weak to me.
08:03You could have done so much more if you just would have made it a credible, clean victory.
08:07It really gets Kalani over.
08:08However, instead, a little bit weaker.
08:11That's just my opinion.
08:12We have a backstage segment with Sol Ruka talking to Ren Sinclair, Kendall Gray.
08:16Some conversation about Zarya comes up.
08:19And Sol Ruka says Zarya asked her to be there.
08:21It turns out Izzy Dane walks in and she says it wasn't Zarya.
08:24It was her.
08:25And there's this whole back and forth about her still hanging out with losers and all that
08:29kind of fun stuff.
08:30And she ends up leaving the scene.
08:33Obviously, they put Sol there to pop the people because they're trying to go head-to-head with
08:38AEW.
08:39They really did load this show up with a lot of main roster stars, which kind of takes
08:44away from NXT.
08:45Like, if NXT is as good as they claim NXT is, then you shouldn't need the main roster
08:48stars to go head-to-head with Dynamite.
08:50You should just be able to perform the way you do every other week where you're garnering
08:54great viewership.
08:55But instead, they did all this.
08:57After that, Cody Rhodes is on his way to the ring to present to the winners of the Dusty
09:01Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
09:03We have Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
09:05Hank and Tank taking on Romeo Marino and Noam Dar.
09:08And look, I've said for a long time, Noam Dar is one of the best wrestlers in the world
09:13pound for pound.
09:14The guy can go and do anything with anybody.
09:16He's an incredible talent.
09:18I do love that he's kind of bringing up a younger, newer talent, Romeo Marino, and really
09:22putting him in a position to be successful.
09:24And tonight is the night.
09:26Hank and Tank hit some great moves and had some great sequences.
09:28But in this match, to my surprise, kind of, because I didn't expect Romeo Marino and Noam
09:33Dar, but they win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
09:37They are presented with the trophy by Cody Rhodes at ringside.
09:40And then it is announced immediately that they will have a chance to win the NXT Tag Team
09:45Championship at next week's episode.
09:48Awesome announcement.
09:49Very cool stuff.
09:50And like I said, I like the shocking end of the tournament.
09:54Very, very cool.
09:55I expected it to just be the Creeds or Hank and Tank because they were established tag
09:58teams that have done a lot on the roster.
10:00But this, this was cool.
10:01Congrats to Romeo Marino and Noam Dar.
10:04From there, the unsanctioned match.
10:06Cruz Montana, Dion Lennox.
10:08We have Dark State at ringside.
10:10And we probably could all feel this coming.
10:12But at some point, the lights go down.
10:15And here come the 9-4-6.
10:19And we end up getting, for lack of better terms, a full-on brawl that lasts a very short
10:25amount of time before a 9-4-6 just obliterates Dark State, you know, putting them through tables,
10:30all that kind of fun stuff.
10:31And back in the ring, well, before you get in the ring, Cruz Montana hits a powerbomb through
10:35a table, throws Dion Lennox back in the ring.
10:38Again, hits his finisher and Cruz Montana picks up the win with the help of his 9-4-6
10:45stablemates over Dark State.
10:46Michael Chandler was the UFC guest enforcer.
10:49Didn't really do anything that I think was important, but whatever.
10:52He was there.
10:53He's a name.
10:54He draws in somebody, I suppose.
10:56Then we have John Cena, one of the biggest parts of the night, something we were looking
11:00forward to hearing.
11:01He is out and he makes a huge announcement that the next participant in the John Cena class
11:06is going to be none other than Zilla Fatou, who comes out, has some great back and forth,
11:12respectful banter with John Cena, resulting in them hugging it out at the end.
11:17As John Cena leaves, he does end up running into Cam Hendricks, who wants to know if he
11:22could also be in the John Cena Classic.
11:24And Cena tells him, you need to focus on your opponent next week, EK Prosper.
11:30So we're going to have that match next week.
11:32And after this little backstage soiree, where obviously Cam Hendricks was not happy, we get
11:39to Grayson Waller taking on CM Punk.
11:42And again, phenomenal match.
11:44CM Punk probably should have won.
11:46But before that can happen, Kevin Owens hits the ring.
11:49And we knew that was going to happen once they threw him out of the building.
11:52He hits the ring.
11:53CM Punk is distracted.
11:54They waste no time whatsoever.
11:56Grayson Waller rolls up CM Punk and gets a roll-up 1, 2, 3.
12:00I thought the finish of the match was kind of weak, if I'm being honest.
12:04But the rest of the card I thought was pretty solid, especially for the time block that they
12:07gave it.
12:08This was a pretty good pay-per-view.
12:10So scale 1 to 5 stars.
12:11Let's go 3 and 3 quarter stars.
12:14But definitely room for improvement, but not as drastically as some other shows.
12:18This was pretty well done.
12:21What I need from you, though, I need a favor.
12:23In the comments down below, tell me what you thought of NXT this week.
12:27Give me some comments about the fact that they went head-to-head with Dynamite.
12:30Do you think that's going to hurt the viewership?
12:32Give me your thoughts, comments, and questions, and concerns, and whatnot in the chat feature
12:36of whatever social media platform you're streaming us with, and we'll get back to you as soon
12:40as possible.
12:41For now, though, that's all the time we have for this episode.
12:44Check back with us next episode.
12:45We'll run down the latest wrestling news and rumors.
12:46Special thanks, as always, to Suno for creating the music and sound effects we use on our show.
