The converter: https://toolster.net/jpeg_to_jpg

A visa portal or a job site says "only .jpg files", and your photo is called Photo.jpeg. Inside it is the very same kind of picture, the form simply checks the ending of the name.

What happens in the video:
1. Choose images opens the .jpeg photo.
2. About a second later the card reads Done, Photo.jpg, 448 KB to 448 KB.
3. The green Original quality label means the pixels were not compressed a second time.
4. Download JPG saves the new file.

Other options on the same page: convert a whole folder into one ZIP, keep the file under a set number of KB, strip location and camera details. PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF also come out as JPG. The photos stay in your browser and are never sent anywhere.
