Tire size calculator: https://tire-calc.com/
Before you buy wheels or tires of another size, it helps to know how far the new ones differ from the stock set. This calculator puts the two sizes next to each other and gives the answer in millimeters, inches and percent.
How to use it:
1. Top row: width, aspect ratio and rim diameter of the tires you have now.
2. Bottom row: the size you are thinking about.
3. Calculate.
What you get: outer diameter, width, circumference, sidewall height, revolutions per km or mile and the change in ground clearance. A diameter gap up to 3% is shown in green as a safe swap, a bigger gap in red. The speedometer block converts the speed on your dash into the speed you actually drive on the new tires.
The example in the clip: 205/55 R16 against 225/45 R17 passes, 225/50 R17 is about 4% larger and fails. At the end the units are switched from CM to INCHES.
