00:05If the Giants are going to take the NFC East and they have to be able to run the football
00:09like they did in the second half in overtime and the Texans win, they're going to have
00:13to be able to do that consistently.
00:16The run design, the offensive line, and the guy carrying the swine, they all have to be
00:22in sync and they have to create the big play like they were able to do in that Texans game.
00:27Well, they all deserve their flowers, but the guy who gets our New York Post Sports game
00:34ball is obviously Cam Scottaboo.
00:36Way to get out the doghouse and to be back into the penthouse.
00:40Let's break down how the run designs, the offensive line, and of course the guy carrying the rock
00:46was able to be effective down in Houston.
00:54All right.
00:55All right.
00:55Let's take a look at this, man, because Scott had himself a day of the run game, struggled.
01:01I don't want to necessarily say struggled, but just wasn't, it wasn't popping in the first
01:08half.
01:08Great job by Nagy, G-Roll and those guys making the adjustments.
01:12Also, Willie Taggart making the adjustments to get some bigger runs out of these guys in
01:18the second half.
01:19This one right here.
01:20I mean, this is by design.
01:21I want to start it by showing how designed, by design, they were able to get Scott some
01:29favorable runs or put him in favorable matchups for him to get up on safeties, get up on the
01:36third level and do what he has to do.
01:39So we saw Jameis come in, do the tush push or the Winston sneak or, you know, whatever
01:44you guys want to brand this thing, but uh-uh, gotcha.
01:48Let's watch the play and then we'll bring it, we'll bring it back and we will break it down.
01:54You see everybody trying to clog up that middle for the tush push or the QB sneak.
02:00Uh-uh.
02:00They get fooled.
02:02Big play on a third and one for this Giants offense in this run game.
02:08But here's how we do here.
02:09Because you see, Scott, Ricard, Malachi Fields, you see these guys in this inverted wishbone.
02:16As soon as Jameis snaps his football, tucks his head to get, to try and get that first,
02:21that one yard or inches of the first yard, these guys usually come, they push.
02:25They push the pow.
02:26But nope, we're going to switch it up on you guys.
02:29Right here, you see at the snap of the football, you see all the bodies, all these interior
02:36offensive linemen go down, make it look like it's going to be that QB sneak.
02:42You see the front, it's a reduced front.
02:44These guys, these three interior defensive linemen, they're in here, they're packed to
02:50play that QB sneak.
02:51Same thing with these guys.
02:53They're in for the push, to push backwards.
02:56But you see space here.
02:58You see gaps here.
03:00You see favorable matchups for you to get blockers on second, I guess we can call them
03:06second level defenders here and to open up a running lane or rush lane for scat.
03:12Great job.
03:13Great call.
03:14Great design.
03:15You go down with Andrew Thomas here, 78.
03:18You see him block down.
03:21You see Manhurts, Chris Manhurts kind of help check for the double team to get up to that
03:27second level.
03:28So now you've got this guy already crashing down to try and stop any play that goes through
03:34this gap or this QB sneak makes Andrew Thomas's job a little bit easier for him.
03:40Let me wash him down.
03:42Same thing with Manhurts.
03:44You help with the inside hand with this left hand.
03:46Now you get up to the second level to seal, seal this, seal off this lane here, seal off
03:53any coverage here.
03:54So now you've got down, down, and you see the lane starting to form now.
04:01Now the last piece of the puzzle, the last affinity stone is Project Pat or Pancake Pat
04:08going out there one-on-one with the corner with the little guy to kick him out.
04:13And what do you get?
04:14You get yourself a rushing lane that your grandmama can run through.
04:18Great job by G-Rowe, Willie Taggart, Matt Nagy, and this offensive staff to call to not only
04:25design this, but to call it in the situation.
04:28Get the matchup.
04:30Get the front.
04:30Get the defense.
04:31Get the defense, the scheme that you want, and then the execution by the guys.
04:36Kick out.
04:38Walled off.
04:39Now you've got Scat untouched going up.
04:44Let's see where that was.
04:45Let's see where the ball, the line of scrimmage is what?
04:48Right here.
04:49I don't know what number this is.
04:50Let's go.
04:5110 yards before Scat is touched.
04:55And then he gets the chance to try and bully a little guy here.
05:00So by design, that's one way that they were able to get the run game and Cam Scataboo going,
05:06particularly in the second half.
05:09By design.
05:09Now let's watch the next play.
05:16We see it here.
05:17I believe this was the touchdown run.
05:20Touchdown run will stay in tight.
05:22You see now sometimes throughout the course of this year, these double teams, they haven't
05:27been able to manhandle and get the reach and the blocks that they want, the penetration
05:32or the push that they've wanted on some of these double teams.
05:36So first by design, by play call, they got Scam.
05:41They got Scat or Cam.
05:43They got him free.
05:44They got him going.
05:45Now the offensive line doing their job, getting him going.
05:49Let's watch the play.
05:50Then we break it down.
05:52Double team here.
05:53Gets up.
05:54Boom.
05:54O-line.
05:55Scat doing what he does.
05:57Get off of it.
05:58Get into the end zone.
05:59Make somebody pay.
06:01Love to see it.
06:02Love to see it.
06:03Absolutely love to see it.
06:04So let's bring it back.
06:07Bring it back.
06:09And rewind.
06:09You see them in the bunch formation.
06:11This is a heavy personnel, 13 personnel, one running back, one, two, three tight ends,
06:18one wide receiver.
06:19Isaiah Likely, he's a tweener.
06:21He's a hybrid guy, but he's still a tight end.
06:24It's just he's a mismatch.
06:26Now let's watch this right side of the offensive line to start.
06:30We see the double team here.
06:31Andrew Thomas has the one-on-one double team.
06:35Hudson here, center, gets a hit.
06:38Helps this left guard here and John Runnin' get control of this interior lineman.
06:45Helps him get control of the block until he now goes and climbs to the second level.
06:50Looking at it, that's a win.
06:52That's a win.
06:53That's a win.
06:54Let's bring it back.
06:55Bring it back in rewind.
06:57CC Maunoa, you've got your one-on-one.
07:00You've got a win there.
07:02Looks like he's winning here.
07:04Maybe not getting the push that you want, but you're not getting the penetration.
07:08If you're not going to get push, you don't want any penetration.
07:11Let's watch this double team here between Jermaine Luminor and Pancake Pat.
07:16Pat gets him.
07:18Pat actually helps seal it off, wall him off.
07:21In an ideal world, you'd want him to push this interior lineman, this lineman in enough
07:30to a Luminor can take control of it and get the one-on-one.
07:35And then Pat climbs up to the next level.
07:37Or if this guy was to come off and try and go heavy to fight this block, to fight this
07:45pin by Pancake Pat here, then Pat would take the one-on-one and the Luminor climbs up to
07:53the second level.
07:54So good communication by these guys.
07:57They weren't able to get it as clean as they wanted, but hey, it is what it is.
08:01And then you see the kick-out by Manhurts, but this is all cam scattable.
08:06We've seen it since Arizona State.
08:08We've seen it.
08:09Him being able to run through arm tackles, and we wanted to see more.
08:13We wanted to see more of this this season from scat breaking these tackles, particularly
08:18on the second and third level, and getting more.
08:21And then you punish the little guy in the end zone, and then you do what you do.
08:26So huge.
08:26So we saw one by design.
08:28Two, we saw the offensive line have themselves a pretty solid rep.
08:32And because of that, Cam Scadaboo was able to do what he does.
08:39All right, this one, the big run at the end to set up Motor Singletary.
08:44Motor Singletary's touchdown.
08:46Again, 13 personnel, one running back, one, two, three tight ends.
08:52Malik Nabors one-on-one or the single receiver in this.
08:56We'll watch it from the wide, and then we'll watch it from the tight as well.
09:01Again, see Project Pack slamming down, blocking, blocking color, getting color.
09:07You see guys getting up, the offensive lineman getting up to the second level.
09:11Oops, we were supposed to watch it, and I was supposed to break it down.
09:14My bad.
09:15Let's watch it.
09:17Boy said, I wasn't fumbling that one.
09:19I wasn't going to fumble that one.
09:21I wasn't going to try and do too much and fumble that one.
09:24But quickly, let's just, let's quickly watch it, then we'll get out of it.
09:27We'll watch the tight.
09:28Boom.
09:29Block up there.
09:30You see, likely.
09:32Get up on that third level, be able to get a block.
09:35But let's break this thing down from the tight.
09:37Let's watch the offensive line, and let's watch Scat do what he does.
09:41Offensive line.
09:42Hell of a rep right here, Hog Mollies.
09:44Hell of a rep.
09:45Hell of a way to get the running game going when you needed it most,
09:48and that's the second half, particularly the fourth quarter
09:51and overtime when it was time to win this thing.
09:56So we'll start with the right side of the line again.
09:59Pretty much the same we saw from the touchdown run.
10:02Let's double it.
10:03Let's double it.
10:03You've got the one-on-one here.
10:05You've got a double here between CeCe Malinoa and Jermaine Illuminor.
10:09You see Project Pat slamming down here.
10:13But let's, I'm doing too much.
10:15I'm talking too much.
10:15Let's watch it here.
10:16Let's watch the double team.
10:17Boom.
10:18Slam it down.
10:19Get control.
10:20Basically, everyone's just being washed.
10:22This isn't anything overly pretty.
10:25You see the stunts.
10:26You see the crashes by these defensive line.
10:32They're crashing hard to the inside.
10:33You're actually doing the job for these offensive linemen,
10:37and all they're having to do is just get that leverage and wash you down.
10:41Same thing here.
10:42Wash you.
10:43I'm looking.
10:44I'm helping.
10:44I'm seeing what's what, and then I climb up to the second level.
10:48Same thing here.
10:49You're just washing these guys down.
10:51Now Jermaine Illuminor gets up clean to this second level one.
10:55I believe Al Shazier right here gets body on body, and Cam reads that.
11:00Now it's about the vision of the running back.
11:02What do you see?
11:03Boom.
11:03Great job, Illuminor.
11:05Didn't have to do too much.
11:07Let your running back make you right.
11:10And you see because Pat Ricard is able to slam and wash down color,
11:19which was the defensive lineman here.
11:21Illuminor is able to get up to that second level.
11:24Likely is here able to get up to that third level.
11:27Look at the hole.
11:28Again, it's a hole that your mama and your grandmama can run through.
11:33And then Scott just doing what it does, breaks the angle, needs to hold on to the football,
11:40does exactly what the play was designed to do, how the lineman blocked and scheme it,
11:47and then it was on Scott to finish the run.
11:51I think we're going to see a lot of the 13 personnel for the Giants going forward.
11:58We're able to see them get, or we're able to see them make adjustments at halftime
12:03and get more out of the running game in one half of football or an extra half of football
12:09than we've probably been able to see on a consistent basis throughout the course of the year.
12:14But Cam Scadaboo, showing that he's able to run through arm tackles,
12:18showing he's able to read blocks, read schemes, and hit holes, get to the second level,
12:23make a guy miss or two and get into the third level.
12:27The Giants offense needed to put that on tape in terms of explosive runs,
12:31and he was the guy that was able to do that.
12:34So run design, offensive line, and the guys carrying the swine,
12:39they deserve their flowers, but our game ball goes to Cam Scadaboo.
12:48Let's go!
12:49Go to Cam Scadaboo!
12:50Go to Cam Scadaboo!
12:50And we can see on the track and see on the track and see it as the points as things
12:52Bro, go to stay in the track and enjoy one of the guys' impecables!
12:52It got you on the track and watch!
