00:00And Bobby, we have our usual, unusual, late week injury list where it's like, huh, what's that guy doing on
00:08there?
00:09Yeah, so this week we got the random pop-up of Tyler Smith on a Thursday, which he was a
00:16full participant yesterday, so this did not limit him in any way.
00:18And when we were standing out there at practice, like, you watch him around, it's not like there was any
00:22tip-off, like, oh my gosh, is Tyler Smith okay?
00:24Like, he looked fine.
00:25I wish the back would get better.
00:27You got to report everything, so they reported it, they put it out there, but it is a little concerning
00:32that it feels like we're on about a two-year run now of just Tyler Smith always being hurt in
00:37some capacity.
00:38Even if he's full participant just dinged up enough that they got to throw it on an injury report.
00:42I know, but a lot of times these things are such BS that they did this with Porter to us
00:46last week or the week before.
00:47Then they did it with someone else where we got got a little bit and spending too much time and
00:53effort on it.
00:54And they just went out and played.
00:55But then they'll hit you at the random, the guy's on there, and then they just don't play on side.
01:00I hate these injury reports.
01:02I really do.
01:02They're getting more confusing.
01:03And they're meant to...
01:04More deceitful.
01:05They're supposed to be more...
01:06They're supposed to be more concise now.
01:09Yeah, and they're not.
01:09Transparent.
01:10Yeah, they're not at all.
01:11But Luke Schoonmaker was also on that injury report.
01:14Not that that totally matters a ton, but they have been playing with a little bit more two-tight-end
01:17sets.
01:18But Schoonmaker, though, that does not look like he's ready to go right now.
01:24Because he was on there with a groin injury.
01:26He did not participate in what is the most important practice of the week, Thursday.
01:30And he didn't stroll out there on the practice field until almost we were completely done,
01:35and he was basically in pajamas walking out there.
01:37That's how he plays.
01:39Yeah, so Luke Schoonmaker does not look...
01:41I wouldn't be super optimistic about Luke Schoonmaker being available to play this weekend.
01:44This tight in room is ass, anyway.
01:47I'm just not impressed.
01:50Spanford's been a good player this year.
01:51He's a good blocker, cool.
01:52I don't think it's just the blocking.
01:54I think he's done a couple decent things in the passing game.
01:56He's been great on special teams.
01:58I just think as an overall player, Brevin Spanford's been good.
02:00They need to go get a new starter.
02:03Yeah, I agree that it's nothing but kind of ant there.
02:05I like Spanford because he hits, and I just dislike Ferguson.
02:10So Spanford's more of a fan favorite for me.
02:12He's a monster.
02:15It's not Tyron-like, but man, when he walks up, that's a big MFing dude right there.
02:22CeeDee Lamb with his Utah Game 6 type MJ photo with everyone in the Eagles crowd.
02:29Aiden's going to put it up on the fan camp Twitch and YouTube
02:32as someone got the still shot of the thumbs down, middle fingers up,
02:36and someone, I guess, randomly drinking tequila back there.
02:39He's thirsty.
02:39Cowboys fan celebrating, throwing back the Don Julio.
02:43But there were so many thumbs downs.
02:46Did he sneak this in?
02:47He had to have, right?
02:48They don't just sell that.
02:49I mean, it is Philly.
02:51But there's so many thumbs downs in that picture compared to the middle fingers.
02:55I think that is a reflection of that city is not the same.
02:59They're not the same energy.
03:00There's a good amount of middle fingers.
03:02There's a good amount, but it's like I'm stunned that it's not just universal middle fingers.
03:06It's a bunch of like, boo, no good.
03:09Thumbs down to CeeDee.
03:10CeeDee said, everybody hated me because I scored a touchdown.
03:13That's fire.
03:14It's everything I've dreamt of.
03:15I'm just embracing the whole moment, seeing Philly fans, who they are.
03:19Glad y'all can see it, too.
03:21Oh, yeah.
03:21Shout out to my man, drinking the Don Julio.
03:25CeeDee was also asked about this losing streak to Arizona.
03:29You guys have to focus that much more and take them as an actual serious, serious opponent?
03:35I've never beat the Cardinals since I've been in the league, so that's kind of fair to say.
03:40I wouldn't say heightened focus, but it's definitely a note to take.
03:44Isn't that strange to say you haven't beat the Cardinals since you've been in the league?
03:47I mean, it's not like they've been a Super Bowl contender during that time.
03:48Right.
03:49Yeah, it's just crazy.
03:51Being very, very relaxed, and they've punched us in the mouth every single time.
03:56What have they done defensively tonight?
03:59Hold the score down.
04:00Just come out.
04:02They've always had more energy.
04:04Just coming out in their game, they're more excited, regardless of if it was at 12 o'clock,
04:08Sunday night, Monday night.
04:09We played them in prom time.
04:10They beat us there.
04:12So just coming in, treating them as if they are a Super Bowl contender team, which they may be.
04:17You know what I'm saying?
04:17So hats off to them in their prep, and we just got to go match them, if not overpower them.
04:24That's good stuff.
04:26I mean, he's very direct.
04:27He's very, I mean, to just flat out say, like, every single time we come out in these games,
04:31we're not ready for them, and they out-physical us is a pretty bold thing to be willing to say,
04:37but that's the way CD approaches it, is that he'll just talk about it honestly.
04:41But to then come back and say, we got to match it, not just match it, like we got to
04:44basically overpower them this week,
04:47that's got to be their mindset against Arizona.
04:49It's the classic sort of the playing down to your competition.
04:54People say this in baseball about going to play in Tampa.
04:57Tampa's already a decent team, but there's just no atmosphere there.
05:01It feels like it's like a high school game, and they can't get up for the game.
05:05Even though it's a good, even though Tampa's, whether Tampa's good or bad,
05:09they just can't get up for the game when they play them.
05:11And psychologically, it's the Arizona Cardinals.
05:14You're the Dallas Cowboys.
05:15But psychologically, it's hard to get up for the game,
05:18especially when you just play the Eagles, and you just play the Packers.
05:22That's the funny thing.
05:23The term we used was excited.
05:24They've come in more excited than us, almost like, God, we're playing the Cardinals.
05:29But where he said, we got to treat them like a Super Bowl contender,
05:31because for them, this is like a big game for them.
05:33You looked disturbed yesterday, Choppy.
05:36I think when Tommy Yarsh was on, and he was talking about this being a close game,
05:40or maybe just getting by with a W, and you were asking about style pointing,
05:45and that led you to this question of what, squeaking by?
05:48Yeah, like if they squeak by this Cardinals team,
05:52can they squeak by this game?
05:54And say they win it 28-17.
05:58Let's say that's the score.
05:59That's not a squeak.
06:00No.
06:01That's not a squeak.
06:02I mean, are we talking, are you getting a late seven with two minutes left,
06:05or you're up 10 throughout the fourth?
06:08Yeah, like if you're up 28-10 in this game, and they score a late touchdown,
06:13that's not a squeak by.
06:14If you're up 20, if you're up 21-17, and you get the late touchdown to make it 28-17,
06:21it's obviously, it's a different 28-17 score, right?
06:24How you get there is different.
06:27But, you know, 28-17, if they win this game 24-17, that's better to me,
06:32even though it's closer, than winning 41-31.
06:38Or 41-28.
06:40Because you want to feel better about the defense?
06:41Yes, I want to feel better.
06:43Eventually, I think this offense will be fine.
06:45I know it hasn't been great.
06:47You were last week.
06:48Yeah, for the most part.
06:49I didn't come away from that game thinking, oh, man, the offense is fixed.
06:52Well, their running game looked fixed.
06:54The running game was much better.
06:56Scored 38.
06:57But I just don't think, you cannot allow 28 points to this Cardinal team.
07:00I mean, they haven't scored more than 21 in the last three games.
07:03So, I look at it like, I'd rather win 24-17.
07:06I'd probably feel better about it.
07:07San Francisco squeaked by against them, though.
07:09I know.
07:09I know.
07:10I feel better about it, but just the whole concept, for me,
07:15of squeaking by and, oh, my God, you need to win by,
07:18that's all out the window.
07:19If they win 24-20, I'll be fine.
07:24Because Jalen Daniels and Tanner McKee took away that conversation and discussion.
07:29Tanner McKee and the Philadelphia Eagles were lighting you up
07:33with backups and scrubs.
07:35And Jalen Daniels humiliated you in front of the entire country.
07:39I had written down in my notes before Denver pulled away with their BS 50-yard screens
07:44and Bo Nix's 60-yard run.
07:46I had written in my notes, Arizona can be a pain in the ass.
07:49I had written that.
07:51And then you go and look, and it doesn't look like that.
07:55Like, ultimately, on the scoreboard, even though they did beat the Rams,
07:59we all know the Rams were overhyped.
08:01They lost 30-16 to Denver.
08:02They lost 45-21 to Detroit.
08:04They lost 36-24 to the Giants.
08:07And those are double-digit losses.
08:10But, no, man, if Tanner McKee and Jalen Daniels did it,
08:15Jacoby Brissett could keep them right there in a game.
08:18And this defense, with me, they get zero, no more at all benefit of the doubts.
08:25Nothing.
08:26No, none.
08:26So they win 24-20.
08:28I'm okay with it because I know that they're not a contender.
08:32Well, if we know that they're not a contender.
08:34Oh, we know that.
08:35Yeah.
08:35Then, like, the score doesn't matter, right?
08:38If you know you're not a contender.
08:40And you know they're not a contender.
08:41Yeah, I know.
08:42But every game, I'm looking at every game still in the construct of that frame of reference.
08:50Yeah, I've been waiting.
08:52The reason I got so upset against the Eagles the other night,
08:55I keep going in with hopes still.
08:57I'm like, all right, it's going to click.
08:59All right.
09:00Christian Parker and them are going to make a turn.
09:02And, okay, they figured something out.
09:05And then the Eagles' first drive and second drive and opening drive of the third quarter
09:12punched me right in the stomach.
09:13And I'm like, I'm an idiot.
09:14I'm not going to do it again.
09:15Yeah.
09:16But, yeah, and I don't know that you want, Jacoby Brissett has shown he can throw it on teams a
09:23little bit.
09:24And he's, we'll do a little bit more of it at 720.
09:26But, I mean, he's had success against Dallas.
09:28He had success last year.
09:30And they can do some things to you in the passing that I think would hurt the Cowboys
09:36and could stress the Cowboys.
09:37Anything can hurt the Cowboys, yeah.
09:39But especially with all the secondary issues they've had, like, I think you start volume passing in that game,
09:44they could put up 30 points if Dallas is playing like they've played.
09:47Don't kid yourself.
09:48I have the starting quarterback for the Carls on my fantasy team instead of Caleb this week.
09:52Whoa!
09:52Oh, baby.
09:53I tried to pick up Jacoby, and he got picked up in front of me.
09:56I tried to go get him.
09:57He got snatched off waivers.
09:59In my other league, I had to get Penix.
10:02Oh, yeah.
10:03But I have Caleb in our league.
10:05Troy Eggman saying that he feels bad that he put Jerry in a corner.
10:12That he went and told Mike Fisher, yeah, I'd absolutely consider a position with the Cowboys.
10:17Jerry comes on with us.
10:19Jerry makes the headlines and says, yeah, I wouldn't rule it out.
10:22We bring in Troy in some capacity, and then Troy yesterday said, oh, I feel bad about it.
10:28It's unfair to Jerry, and I just wanted to let him know I'm sorry for making him have to answer
10:33those questions.
10:34What's funny about that is Troy supposedly told Jerry that during their discussion Monday night on the field.
10:43Yeah.
10:44We had Jerry Jones on what day?
10:47Tuesday.
10:48We have him every Tuesday.
10:49Tuesday, yeah.
10:49So Troy's apologizing for something.
10:51I just meant publicly.
10:52Publicly, there's so many questions being speculated about with Jerry, so he had to apologize for that.
10:58But also, it's like, come on, dude.
11:01This is what you wanted.
11:02He's playing the game.
11:03He's just a lot more stern and serious and comes across as way more sincere than like 95% of
11:09other people.
11:11He ain't no dummy.
11:12Maybe it's also the, uh, he wants to, instead of publicly looking like any sort of jabs that he's been
11:20associated with with Jerry,
11:22maybe he really does like that relationships turning, like that it's a little more positive these days,
11:28so I don't want to even publicly do anything that sounds like jabbing him.
11:31Let me, let me give him some cover here.
