00:00uh first uh how great was it to finish off the season uh strongly as you did really just winning
00:06twice on the pga tour uh quite the role in the fall man you're quite the fall golfer yeah um
00:13I mean it was awesome to finish the year how I did um the year was I thought it was

00:20to that you know I had played some majors that was fun um made some cuts but really no great
00:26super great finishes um I'm not 100 sure why I've played so well in the fall I played well in

00:33fall last year as well but um a better late than never that's for sure I was doing the math

00:39just because you've won six times basically since last August winning three times on the
00:44Americans tour you won three times down the pga tour of course that one in Utah is one that was
00:49your debut pga tour a big win to kind of get your your status and got yourself playing on the
00:55pga
00:55tour this season but then I started doing like more in-depth math of okay this guy's won six
01:02times between the months of August September and October and I started thinking too I was like all
01:08right this guy's up to 18th in the world he's got three wins on the pga tour here's a big
01:13event that
01:13they typically play in September the Ryder Cup or the President's Cup I this is hey this is a pretty
01:19positive trend when I go and look at my Michael Brennan stat profile yeah if I'm Jim Furyk I'm having
01:24to look at like this guy peaks this time of the year it's good stuff maybe you could send Jim

01:29info is there any reason for that you think like I mean I always felt like I played well like

01:36of to start the year like the summer I always kind of struggle fall I always seem to play well

01:41were you that way kind of in college golf I mean I know it was kind of split seasons like

01:46ever struggle any time of the year kind of college season yeah I have no idea I honestly like I

01:53no idea maybe no rhyme or anything I could think of is like I'm deep into the season so I've

01:59in a good routine or something like that and kind of found the the rhythm of things but I would

02:05to think that wouldn't take me five months to figure out um but maybe it does I have no idea
02:12okay so you kind of mentioned the season was like in your words more on the so-so side nothing
02:18that
02:18was extraordinary but like when you look at the wins it's like all right well you know you're able
02:22to build up uh just like really banking more years on the PGA Tour especially the further along we get
02:29in the championship series how important that is bigger events uh playing against the best for you
02:34like how much uh confidence and and really time does it give you to continue to develop and not feel
02:40just pressured by you know uh getting that PGA Tour back uh card back year after year it has to
02:46feel
02:46comfortable that you can keep you know developing the way that you'd like yeah no it's it's great um
02:52winning in Utah knowing that I had two years was huge um and it was the most important for me
02:57I felt
02:58like in the middle of the summer where or maybe late spring I wasn't you know necessarily playing great
03:04my FedEx ranking wasn't exactly where I wanted it to be and I thought that knowing I had an extra
03:11year
03:12like obviously there is like I want to play well now I don't want to to play well next year
03:18um and
03:19I'm not trying to I wasn't writing off the season by any means but it gave me a little bit
03:23of comfort
03:23knowing that all right if I don't like figure things out right now it's not the end of the world
03:28because I still do have status next year um and I think that that was probably a bit of a
03:34calming thought out there you know knowing that it wasn't the end of the world if I you know didn't
03:39make the playoffs this year or whatever it may be um and maybe that helped a little bit you know

03:44some of my good play later in the year because I wasn't putting a ton of pressure on myself and
03:49it's I hope I'm not in that situation next year and I play good golf from the you know from
03:54the get-go
03:54and um I don't have to think about that but I do think in the middle of this summer it

04:01nice thing to be able to kind of rely on and fall back on
