00:05is the king tides to be exact and this has been some of the highest king tides we've seen in
00:10this area over the last several years now this is the king tides from this morning and it's still left
00:15over in some of these low-lying areas where i am in west palm beach is still under a coastal
00:20flood warning as well as broward county and miami-dade county over the next several days in the anticipation of
00:26this nuisance flooding that can bring in two to three
00:29three and a half feet of water along the roads in these very populated parts of these coastal counties now
00:36folks are told not to drive through this water you have to remember this is salt water not fresh water
00:41so we can do significant damage to cars to bicycles to electric bikes electric vehicles there is been some effort
00:49to get folks to get sandbags that live in these flood prone areas to try and mitigate some of that
00:54damage and of course the winds expected to increase as we get through the next day or so we've had
00:59a strong northeast wind a tight pressure gradient with a low pressure center over the bahamas and a high pressure
01:06center over the southeast also that strong onshore wind bringing in coastal showers so just kind of adding to that
01:11trifecta of all of this nuisance flooding that we're anticipating including the peak of it which will be tonight when
01:18we get that high of the full moon which will bring in the highest high you've seen here in a
01:24while and again expected to be a problem through the next day or so reporting in west palm beach florida
