00:00This game last night, man, this Eagles and Cowboy game really is going to be an issue when it comes
00:07to the future of what's coming up here with Nick Sirianni and what the Eagles are going to go with
00:13next.
00:13I mean, there's no question about it right now.
00:16Nick Sirianni is coaching the rest of the season for his job.
00:20Look, here's a guy with a 670 win percentage, has not missed the playoffs, has been to two Super Bowls,
00:26but that's not an organization that sits with idle hands.
00:30This has been a complete train wreck, and this will be the third meltdown in four years that Sirianni has
00:38not been able to navigate through.
00:41You've got to think if you're Howie Roseman and you're Jeffrey Lurie that you're looking to make a change here
00:47at the end of the season.
00:48You know, I threw out on my Philadelphia show Marcus Freeman, the Notre Dame head football coach as a potential
00:55candidate.
00:55He was interviewed for the Pittsburgh Steeler job.
00:58He turned it down.
00:59He was actually interviewed for the New York Giants job and also turned it down before John Harbaugh ended up
01:05taking that job, and I'm a huge Marcus Freeman guy.
01:08Nick Sirianni has been a caboose the entire time.
01:12Here's why.
01:13Look, I believe that the Eagles, over the last five years, have been a product of what Howie Roseman has
01:19been able to do, the best general manager in all of football, when it came to tooling that roster.
01:24And when the roster went sideways and the roster is not as talented, make no mistake about it, Nick didn't
01:33have answers.
01:33He didn't have answers in 2023 when they were 10-1 and they had a nuclear meltdown.
01:38A year ago, they didn't have an answer, and right now, they don't have answers.
01:43And don't tell me it's about injuries to the football team.
01:48Because at the end of the day, I can take a look up to New York and see what John
01:52Harbaugh is doing in New York right now,
01:54and John Harbaugh has somehow piecemailed the 4-2-1 record, and right now the leaders in the NFC East.
02:01Make no mistake about it, man.
02:04I mean, injuries are part of the game.
02:07This is what makes the NFL the NFL.
02:11This is why you have a 53-man roster.
02:13There is no doubt that the owner, if you can fire Andy Reid, and you can fire a guy like
02:21a Johnson who won you a Super Bowl,
02:24you can fire a guy like Nick Sirianni.
02:28There's going to be a lot of question marks also in the hiring practices that Sirianni has had the last
02:34couple years.
02:35A year ago, he had Kevin Petullo, the offensive coordinator, had never called a play,
02:40had never been a coordinator in his entire coaching career.
02:44What does he do the next year, this year?
02:46He ends up hiring a guy in Sean Mannion who has not been a coordinator ever and has only been
02:53a coach for 25 months.
02:56How do you turn the keys over to a guy that's never called plays and then call yourself a head
03:03coach and say,
03:04I want you to figure it out.
03:06Look, there's so many issues now on this Eagle team, and the guy has not had an answer.
03:10Last night we were watching the game, and I'm sitting there watching Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter in the game.
03:16You gave that guy 60, both of those guys combined $60 million, and Nick Sirianni, again, makes excuses for every
03:25single football player on that team.
03:29Look, they need to have a come-to-Jesus conversation.
03:32That football team is without a doubt without a leader right now.
03:36Look, I know that they've come out of an era now where they've lost Fletcher Cox,
03:40where they've lost Lane Johnson, where they've lost a guy like Jason Kelsey.
03:44There's no question it's leaderless right now, and Nick Sirianni has no answers.
03:51At the end of the year, Jeffrey Lurie, who was honored last night, going into his own Hall of Fame,
03:56I guess it's what you do if you're an owner, all good, right?
04:01He's got serious decisions to make.
04:03Do you want to go forward with Jalen Hurts, and do you want to go forward with Nick Sirianni as
04:10your head football coach?
04:11Two guys that brought arguably the best era of football in Philadelphia sports history when it comes to the Eagles.
04:19Nobody's done more.
04:20It's been the best era, but eras come to an end.
04:24Sometimes they're long, like the New England Patriots.
04:27Sometimes you look at dynasties that don't last very long, like the Dallas Cowboys.
04:32They got a rough road ahead of them.
04:34I see two wins on that schedule, and then you'll be talking about a four-win football team and a
04:41top-five pick
04:42with an opportunity to go out and potentially go and get maybe a quarterback.
04:47Look, this whole Jalen Hurts thing was handled miserably by the Eagle front office.
04:52You put Nick Sirianni out there for him to have to answer questions, and he couldn't answer one of them.
04:57He's not a doctor.
04:59The organization, if they can do that to Nick Sirianni, they can do that to anybody.
05:05Make no mistake about it.
05:06There'll be a change at the end of the year for the Philadelphia Eagles when it comes to their head
05:11coach.
05:12And most importantly, what do you do with Jalen Hurts at the end of this season?
05:18You went through some of the best winning over the last five years, and it's no question.
05:24It is absolutely disintegrated right in front of our eyes.
05:27They went from being one of the best to now being one of the worst teams in pro football.
