00:00How about this number here?
00:01And we mentioned it a couple minutes ago here that the Brewers,
00:04if they're able to close out the Tampa Bay Rays,
00:08they'll be the first team since the Big Red Machine in 75 and 76 to sweep the
00:13NLCS and also the World Series.
00:16Since that legendary team, they are just on a heater.
00:20Our friend Bobby Valentine,
00:21who was recently inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame joins us now here.
00:25And Bobby,
00:26are you shocked in what you're seeing right now with what this baseball team
00:29is doing the Brewers?
00:31Yeah, it's a team and they're doing it.
00:34And it is, it's pretty amazing, actually, that, you know,
00:38they're sweeping and they're playing with enthusiasm and they're doing it
00:42without home runs.
00:44And I kind of like the brand of baseball that both of these teams are playing.
00:49It's just, you know, void of superstars, void of 500-foot home runs.
00:54And I'm not sure that it's getting a lot of attention out there.
01:00Pat Murphy, Bobby, in the job that he has done, I mean,
01:03he seems to be like, you know, one of you guys,
01:06one of the old school managers that just believes in all the facets of the game,
01:11maybe kind of what you just broached a little bit and what you talked about.
01:14He's just an old school style of manager.
01:16And that team just connects with him.
01:20Yeah, he happened to get the collection of guys that, you know,
01:24kind of read the memo and believed the memo.
01:26And when you have that kind of belief and that kind of teamwork that you're seeing
01:32out there, you know, Jelic is a star.
01:35I mean, he's making a lot of money.
01:36But what does he do?
01:38He beats a ball to second base last night on a force out,
01:42and it turns into a, you know, a blowout of a game.
01:46There aren't that many superstars out there who are on first base
01:50and beat that ball to second base to turn a game around.
01:54And, you know, they're doing it without launch angle.
01:58They're doing it without, you know, velocity off of the bat.
02:01And I think it's a really good thing for kids to see and parents to see
02:07and maybe even baseball people to see that you can play the game of baseball
02:13without, you know, hitting it 500 feet and throwing it 105,
02:18even though they have the guy who does throw 105, the Brewers do.
02:21But I think it's good to see.
