00:27they are the cowboys incapable of losing no the cowboys in fact could lose to just about anybody
00:34on any given day and they shouldn't be trusted at all in a vacuum should a league average team
00:42be able to beat the philadelphia eagles yes they should be able to beat them they should be favored
00:47a league average team should be favored to beat the philadelphia eagles because right now they are in
00:53wave the white flag this is 2020 or whatever was the last year where they were really kind of
00:58struggling where it was like all right we're just gonna kind of reset here we'll we'll go ahead and
01:02lean into a renovation of sorts of this roster not a full rebuild but we're gonna renovate some stuff
01:08and you know you're saying all this but like they're not getting blown out and destroyed they
01:14play a lot of close games they're getting handled they lost to the rams by four they lost to jacksonville
01:19by two and they lost to carolina at 25 14 of course they did not have their starting quarterback
01:24another starting quarterback was not playing well uh and they start off the season 2 and 0 so like
01:30i mean you're making it sound like they're losing by 17 and 20 well so they've progressively gotten
01:37worse they're progressively getting worse uh they're losing to teams like for instance
01:42jacksonville played bad jacksonville shouldn't have been able to beat them jacksonville wasn't a good
01:47game for them and yet like philadelphia was still that bad where they were able to do it it's a

01:51of these instances have been poor performances from teams opposite philadelphia too and nothing
01:56that's induced like just dumb mistakes that are being made philadelphia right now is like so
02:01philadelphia's defense is not inducing anything no philadelphia's defense is not a concern to me
02:06like philadelphia i wouldn't want to just run the ball on them they're still running they're still
02:09playing run defense pretty well quinion mitchell still like a decent player but cooper de jean's having
02:14like a not he's not been good this year andrew mccuba at safety has not been playing well this
02:18year uh jalen carter at defensive tackle has disappeared i don't notice jalen carter in
02:23these games when i'm watching him back like i'm not seeing him at all like he's not spitting on
02:28people he's not sacking the quarterback he's not doing anything um jalen carter and i had heard this
02:33when we were spying on philly one time that was like the lead off of one of their segments one

03:09rate allowed the only team that's allowing more pressure than them right now is the miami dolphins
03:12the only team that is worse in offensive epa is the chargers so you're basically playing the
03:18chargers right now heading into this game in terms of offensively they have lost so many pieces along
03:23the offensive line like we know to due to injury due to lane johnson retiring jordan my lot is still

03:28really really good player at tackle he's still somebody that you know is going to win most of his
03:33matchups but i've heard people say he's had a down year man it is so tough for them right now

03:40terms of their communication on the offensive line they've given up a lot of pressures due to
03:44twists and various not being able to pick up blitzes their communication on their offensive line is bad
03:49right now oh line coach won it out that's it then look yeah you're missing him right now jeff stoutland
03:55uh if if he's gonna have the impact if coaches have the impact on communication and things like that that
04:01teams like to a lot of times put them on then yeah they miss him a ton right now because

04:05offensive line doesn't look anything like what we've become used to in the last couple years um
04:10you're gonna need to blitz in this game i know you don't want to generally but you're gonna need to
04:14blitz with like getting in tanner mckee's face because a the eagles can't block b tanner mckee last
04:20week did not look like he was comfortable at all whenever the blitz was coming like it was
04:24it was dac-esque against the packers or the buccaneers um and he cannot run on us no he's
04:30not a guy he's not a guy at all who i think this is not the the jaylen daniels setup

04:36man he can scramble he can extend plays he can do these sort of things that's not really
04:40mckee's game and right now with them missing davante smith and don tavin wicks in this game
04:45those other receivers right now don't get open yeah what's up with mckay shout out to darius cooper
04:50who uh tarleton state and and has had a couple touchdowns but consistently not getting open uh
04:58mckay lemon you were not worried about him coming out no he's been getting eaten up by defenses like
05:04he's just he's not getting open they're they're trying a couple different things with him where
05:07they try to get him like the ball in his hands and see if he can kind of make plays
05:10which is
05:10a little bit of what he did at usc but man there's nothing outside of just like smoke ruts they
05:16can't do
05:16anything in the intermediate or deep portions of the field offensively like there's nothing
05:20there right now now barkley's been the the times that i saw barkley on tape this year he was playing
05:25better than he was last year so last year he definitely regressed from the 2000 yard season
05:29and it looked like oh okay you got him to pop off one more time now you've used him up

05:35going to be he'll go back to banged up saquon barkley who does one two one one oh he breaks

05:42like that'll be the kind of game that he plays but he's like okay when i've seen him this year

05:46like okay looks like there's a little bit more burst there i guess he looks like he's a little more
05:49healthy there's obviously a question about him being available in this one but man their running
05:53game without saquon is not getting anything going right now that's like three backs i mean you've
05:58got hurts and mckee no matter who's back there so far this season just cannot get anything going
06:05outside of just a screen pass it feels like offensively it's a really really tough run and
06:10i don't know how much sean manny and their new offensive coordinator who fun fact uh i believe
06:16started opposite or definitely took most of the snaps in dak prescott's very first game the
06:22preseason game against the rams sean manny was the quarterback of the rams that day okay um but
06:26sean manny is it's not a whole lot of creative design it's not like oh wow that blows my mind

06:42man they just right now cannot get anything going they can't scheme anything up and with
06:47none of their starting receivers available i don't know how they score points other than dallas just
06:51being that poorest defensively which they could be is the reality yeah which you absolutely could
06:57have happen is that they're that poor and they let that much go through the fan text is not sharing

07:07literally nothing about dallas this is just about philadelphia dallas could lose this game

07:27makes me automatically think he's going to look like michael vick probably that very well could
07:31happen because that's the way the cowboys play defense i can't wait for tomorrow morning telling
07:35us christian parker's figured it out uh same crap was said about tampa and they owned us at home
07:39jalen carter not being noticed means he's going to go crazy tonight if this if they have to
07:45completely shut out the eagles for this to be an impressive win maybe win 28 to 3 yeah and that's

08:34undrafted rookie free agent quarterback out of kansas if they if they give up 20 points it better
08:40be like you know 28 to 6 with like eight minutes to go and they just prevent defense this thing
08:48nickel and dime me for a couple of scores late yeah because this is uh this is what the eagles

08:52done in the last four worry four weeks uh seven points and 248 yards of offense against the chicago
08:58bears defense uh 20 points and 172 yards against the rams 17 points and 232 against the jaguars
09:0514 points and 222 against the carolina panthers this has been the new york jets offense from the
09:11last couple years in terms of just how incapable they look at moving the football they're 29th in
09:18points scored right now 31st in yards 31st in net yards per attempt in the passing game they're 27th
09:24yards per attempt rushing they're awful offensively and there's no answers for it right now it's not
09:28going to get any better with davante smith out it's not going to get any better with don tavian wicks
09:32out makai lemon and darius cooper best of luck but that doesn't feel like a duo that should hurt a
09:41normal professional defense now again the cowboys have yet to show that they're a normal professional
09:46defense so i'm not saying it's impossible but just evaluating them in a vacuum eagles offense is not
09:51going to score points on the defensive side of the ball uh this is where christian parker could
09:56help so i think dak if you asked him behind the scenes who frustrates you the most by like who

10:04you get most do you say christian parker irritated going up against i think you'd say the driver at
10:09at&t stadium um who do you get most irritated going up it'd be fangio fangio does call he he

10:16irritated with the way that fangio runs certain concepts it's the it's the one that's probably the
10:20denver game it's the one probably most difficult for him to crack uh in terms of like being able
10:24to read the way they're doing the band match coverages parker being here now hopefully can
10:28give you some of the insight to like here's how we gameplay it against you and here's what vic thought
10:31of you and hopefully you're able to get some sort of answers on that front now because vic very much
10:35is a i do things the way i do them so i don't think he's going to necessarily go let's
10:41change
10:41everything up this game because christians are no we're going to do it the way i say we do it
10:45um but that'll hopefully be a little bit of a help and right now they're not allowing a lot deep
10:52which again as we know with christian parker supposed to be secondary down top down is the
10:57way that they like to play things uh they're not allowing a bunch down the field even in their
11:01struggles at times defensively which they've had some of them but they are getting picked apart in
11:05the middle part of the field so in the 10 to 19 range the cd lamb slants the dig routes
11:11from pickens
11:12those kind of things that's where dallas should be able to find vulnerability now zach bond they do
11:18have to be aware of where he is if he's in coverage if he's rushing if he's you know just
11:23squatting in
11:23a zone whatever he's doing zach bond has been fantastic that's the one dude on that defense that
11:27i look at and go that's still a superstar um he's been really really good uh it's the the fact
11:34that
11:34they're not able to generate consistent pressure right now dallas and philadelphia if you want to know
11:40how much does christian parker resemble vic fangio uh dallas and philadelphia are right next to each
11:46other in pressure rate this season and they are right next to each other in blitz rate this season
11:50so in terms of attacking the quarterback it's the same um so think about how dallas has been blitzing
11:56think about how dallas has been how consistently they generate pressure overall this year that's
12:00what philly's done this so that takes into account whether your pressure is getting home or how much
12:04you decide to bring extra pressure how so the blitz rate is how much you determine to bring it yeah
12:08the pressure rate is just how much you're getting there yeah so the blitz rate is the same the
12:12pressure rate is the same it's generally had about the same success so when you think about dallas
12:16over the first six weeks of the season philly's pass rush has been the same which is not good no
12:21which is i mean lately it's gotten better for dallas it's still not good it's like oh okay that's
12:25that looks like you can survive if that's what you're getting regularly um but overall over the
12:30course of the season more like what you saw the first few weeks and the big question tonight is how
12:35much is fangio gonna copycat and go outside of what he normally does after what green bay
12:40and tampa did with the blitz that's that's that's my big fangio question for tonight and you would
12:47like to like i mean you would think that okay i see that let me adjust because gannon adjusted a
12:53little bit bowls always blitzes that's what he does uh gannon looked at it and tried to go all
12:58right let's let's bring a little more pressure than i normally would yeah um and he he definitely
13:02borrowed zimmer concepts because he coached under zimmer for a few years jonathan gannon and he was
13:07getting those double a gap like showing blitzes in in the a gaps there with the linebackers and then
13:13pulling some of them out or blitzing or but a lot of that did come when all right they're gonna
13:18throw
13:18the ball a bunch let's tee off and so i wonder if vick would do that in a normal like
13:24seven seven game
13:25or if it was just more kind of a shift that gannon had when he saw all right we're up
13:29and they're
13:29gonna throw because vick's got away like all right i normally i'm his most difficult matchup yeah why
13:34would i change why would i change that much but then the entire world is destroying and picking
13:39apart and making fun of brian schottenheimer because of the blitz so how will he weigh it yeah
13:44because it's like if you're the cowboys how are you are you preparing to face you're probably
13:50preparing to face a normal vick team and then he could screw it up by throwing a wrench in there
13:55and
13:55say oh no we're just gonna do what's been what they've done the last two weeks he yeah he is
13:59they
13:59are 30th in the nfl in blitz rate right now the eagles are 22.8 only the seahawks and the
14:04bengals
14:04blitz less than than philadelphia does by comparison so 22.8 by comparison the number one team in the
14:11league is the vikings flores they blitz 69 of the time in minnesota and so that's the kind of gap
14:18that
14:18you're looking at here even take a team like green bay green bay normally this season on average
14:23they're a 31 blitz rate um when you take tampa bay tampa bay is a 40 blitz rate so think
14:29about
14:31half basically of what you've seen in recent weeks is what philadelphia typically does
14:35and a lot of times it's because they lean on their coverage guys i'm like okay we've got
14:39dejean and mitchell and uh we're gonna screw with the quarterback size we're gonna do these different
14:43things in coverage and they're still trying to do those things they're just not as adept at them
14:47this year cooper dejean just doesn't look as good in the slot this year and when he's been asked to
14:51play some safety makuba is not playing well at safety tariq woolen not bad tariq woolen's not
14:57been bad my guy the guy you wanted um he's played okay quinnon mitchell's played okay they're keeping
15:02everything in front of him but man you can nickel and dime them in the intermediate areas pretty good
15:07and what you see is that when they start having any sort of leaks in the passing game that's when
15:13you can run the ball on them it's not always an efficient thing to run on them um they still
15:18play
15:18the run pretty well straight up but if you can start having some success in the pass game they
15:23will loosen up a little bit and you can start gashing them in the run and so i would hope
15:27dallas
15:28doesn't just stubbornly walk in here and go all right we're gonna we're gonna run the ball we're
15:33gonna play caveman football it's like no okay just settle in get a couple passes off get pickings going
15:39get lamb going on some slants or something like that loosen things up and then run the ball but don't
15:42just say we're gonna be you know masculine football and just run it and run it into a wall
15:48a million times over because that's not the way to beat them but this is a philly team philly team
15:53that is probably the worst one we've seen in i don't know at least six years probably more like a
16:02decade the worst philly team yeah doug peterson years yeah like the year doug got fired that's that's
16:11this team
