00:01Dolphins fans rejoice all around as they get their first win of the season,
00:06ensuring that they will not be the first team to ever go 0-17, at least not this season.
00:12Some of our lovely fans and listeners had the police called on.
00:15They were celebrating so much.
00:17And why not?
00:17Against the New York Jets, you get a win on the road, 28-25.
00:22Good to be a Miami Dolphin as they get a win today.
00:26Let's get to our Player of the Game, sponsored by JM Lexus.

00:42Chico City, who is your JM Lexus Player of the Game?
00:46You probably wouldn't expect this one here, Dan.
00:48It's somebody we've been highly critical of.
00:50Heidi, like, when are you going to show up?
00:51And boy, did he show up.
00:52Chop Robinson, one sack, it was critical, third and goal.
00:56He stopped.
00:57We're in the game.
00:58We won because Chop Robinson showed up, showed out,
01:01and stopped the Jets when we needed him to do it.
01:03So thank you, Chop Robinson.
01:04I'm looking forward to everything you've got going on
01:06and what you're going to do for us moving forward.
01:08As you said, Chop Robinson gets the big sack.
01:10Also got a couple of pressures on the quarterback in a money year for Chop Robinson.
01:13He is starting, starting to show signs of getting to the quarterback
01:17and making some plays when he is needed.
01:21I'm going to go with my Player of the Game.
01:22Look, when you win, you love him.
01:24When you lose, you blame him.
01:26It's the quarterback, the most important position in pretty much all of sports.
01:30I want to give it to Malik Willis, a guy who took that off week
01:33and kind of got his mind right, got his game right,
01:35and played the way we expected him to play right out of the gate.
01:39Being an athletic quarterback that can zip it all over the place,
01:43seemed like he just let things slow down and simplify today.
01:46He goes 14 for 21, 208 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, no fumbles,
01:52took two sacks, but still had a passer rating of 130 yards.
01:55He threw for two touchdowns.
01:56He ran for a touchdown.
01:58He did it in all aspects of the quarterback game.
02:01Malik Willis, very proud of him in just his 12th start.
02:05Maybe, you could make an argument, could be the biggest win of his career.
02:11Of course, you know, he did some time at Tennessee.
02:13He played as a backup for Green Bay.
02:15He won some games with Green Bay, but he was never the guy.
02:18This is the first time as the guy that he has gotten a win under his belt,
02:23as the guy, as the quarterback.
02:25He might have not been the guy before, but today he's a winner, Dan.
02:29He is our guy, and that's the guy we're going to be riding with all year long.
02:32Had a bad day at the office two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals today.
02:36Had a good day at the office, let's be honest with that.
02:38So Malik Willis and Chop Robinson get our JM Lexus player of the game.
02:44JM Lexus, luxury comes with clarity.
02:47Enjoy a premium Lexus experience with no dealer fee, transparent pricing,
02:50and a team focused on making every step easy and hassle-free.
02:56Now that we've gotten a win, we can sit back, we can relax,
03:00and we can take in how everyone else did in the NFL
03:04and some of the big plays that happened around the NFL today.
03:08Big Plays Around the League is sponsored by your South Florida Chevy dealer.

03:19Visit your local South Florida Chevy dealer today, Chevrolet.
03:22Together, let's drive.
03:25I don't know if you got it like me.
03:26You woke up early today and watched the New Orleans Saints
03:30take on the Pittsburgh Steelers from Gay Petty.
03:32That's right, first NFL game in Paris, France.
03:35You figure, oh, the Saints, they've got a French connection.
03:39They're going to be in Paris.
03:40Not only will they have a ton of fans there, but they'll win.
03:43Couldn't have been more wrong about everything.
03:46All Steeler fans, all Steelers.
03:49Oh, no.
03:49Steelers win 16-10.
03:51I can't hate on the Steelers fans.
03:53They travel, they party, they live the life,
03:54and they are now toasting with champagne and caviar in the City of Lights.
03:59Speaking of French, Dan, you got a Cajun word of the day for us prepped up,
04:02or is that coming up?
04:04Oh, man, I got you something.
04:06We can say kick charge.
04:07We can say kick charge, which is basically a French saying for I don't care.
04:12I don't care about the New York Jets.
04:14I don't care that they were at home.
04:15Kick charge.
04:16I don't care about the New York Jets.
04:18We got a win today.
04:19Very happy for our New Orleans.
04:21No, New Orleans.
04:22New Orleans was terrible today.
04:23For our Miami Dolphins who get a win today.
04:26Whoopin' of the day, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 43 to the Carolina Panthers, 13-43 to 13.
04:35Baker Mayfield returns.
04:36Doesn't have to do too much.
04:377 for 11, 64 yards, and one touchdown.
04:39Hey, everybody, Bryce Young's the greatest quarterback.
04:41The Carolina Panthers, watch out.
04:43Carolina Panthers are 3-3.
04:44Bryce Young, 14 for 27, 163 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions.
04:50Also had a fumble.
04:51Well, yuck, that game was ugly early, and it never got any better.
04:56So hopefully you did not pay any attention to that game whatsoever.
05:00So the first two real games that we mentioned were absolute stinkers.
05:04Good job, Saints.
05:05Good job, Carolina Panthers.
05:07That's all in the NFC South, so let's keep moving on.
05:10Giants found a way to get a win on the last play of overtime against the Houston Texans.
05:16The Houston Texans, you are in trouble.
05:18Houston, we have a problem.
05:19They lose again at home.
05:21The Giants get a big run in overtime to end the Texans, 27-21.
05:28Now, you might be saying, what a rivalry game between the Bengals and the Ravens.
05:33Tyler Snoop Huntley.
05:34We know him down here in Miami because he was our quarterback for a little while in that year.
05:37We couldn't seem to keep quarterback healthy.
05:39He was like our fifth-string quarterback, got in there, actually won some games.
05:42Remember, he beat the Browns.
05:43Tyler Snoop Huntley playing another week for the injured, what's his name, man, South Florida
05:54guy, too, man.
05:56Well, he's injured and he's out.
06:00Lamar Jackson.
06:01Goodness gracious.
06:02I couldn't think of that.
06:03I really couldn't bet you up here.
06:04Sorry, Dan.
06:05Okay, so, you know, all of a sudden the Ravens are up 13-0 and you're thinking, oh, man, the
06:09Ravens are going to roll the Cincinnati Bengals.
06:11Joe Burrow all-time against the Ravens, 1-5.
06:14Nope.
06:15The Baltimore Ravens give up 35 unanswered points.
06:19Cincinnati wins 35-13.
06:22Uh-oh.
06:23Lamar Jackson, you better get healthy and get back.
06:25Tyler Huntley actually had a pretty decent day.
06:2823 for 34, 298 yards of touchdown and interception.
06:31Joe Burrow, 22 for 30, 292 yards and four.
06:34Count them, four touchdowns.
06:37Derrick Henry seems to be slowing down a little bit.
06:3917 carries for 45 yards.
06:42Like I said, the Bengals, they roll 35 unanswered points.
06:48Yeesh, that was a rough one right there.
06:51Plenty more scores to get to today in and around the league.
06:55As we talked about, the Saints and the Steelers, the Bucs, Panthers, the Giants.
07:00Pretty decent team.
07:02Bengals got them.
07:03Look, don't look now, but the team leading their own division is the Cleveland Browns.
07:08What do they say?
07:09Browns are going to Brown.
07:11F that.
07:11They found a way to get Cam Ward and the Titans in Nashville.
07:16Browns, once again, you know, whether you like them or you don't like them, for whatever
07:20reason, Deshaun Watson.
07:22This team is 5-2, the Cleveland Browns.
07:24All five of their wins, Deshaun Watson has put together a game-winning drive at the end
07:30of the game.
07:32Cleveland now 5-2.
07:33Deshaun Watson, 25 for 36, 308 yards, one interception.
07:37He led the game-winning drive.
07:38They got the field goal from Schmidt, and they win the game 27-24.
07:43You know, Dan, as a Dolphins fan and a Miami fan of any sports, I am a fan of the
07:47underdog,
07:48and Cleveland's kind of got my attention right now, man.
07:50They were supposed to be the worst team in the NFL this year, and they are definitely
07:53not the worst team in the NFL.
07:55Fun to watch.
07:56I thought Deshaun Watson was as checked out as anybody could possibly be.
07:59I thought he was going to collect his check, then move on.
08:02He might go ahead and win his division.
08:04Who knows?
08:05Staying undefeated, the Vikings today.
08:07Defeat the Colts 16-10.
08:09Don't look now.
08:10The Vikings undefeated.
08:1249ers are no longer undefeated.
08:13They go into the ATL and lose.
08:16That's right.
08:17Lose to the Falcons.
08:19I wish both teams could lose.
08:2029-20.
08:22I don't like either of those teams.
08:23The Broncos take care of the Cardinals.
08:25The Cardinals have been kind of an upstart team lately, but today it was just too much
08:28Bo Nix as the Broncos roll the Cardinals 30-16.
08:32This Lions-Packers game going on right now with 50 seconds left.
08:35It is 17-17.
08:36It has been a comedy of errors.
08:38Someone just texted me.
08:40It looks like the guy injured himself trying to kneel the ball for the Lions.
08:45What in the world are they doing?
08:46Yeah, sorry.
08:46I didn't mean to burst out like that.
08:47Did you see that replay?
08:48He literally hurt himself.
08:51Jameson, what are you doing?
08:53But I've gotten texts that it looks like both teams are trying to lose and get their coaches
08:57fired.
08:57This game has looked weird.
08:58They've missed like 30-yard field goals.
09:02They've only scored 17.
09:04Neither team has a defense, and they're not scoring.
09:05It looks like the Lions are about to kick what will be a game-winning field goal, although
09:10in this game, you never know what's going to happen.
09:11His last attempt at a field goal.
09:12No, the last attempt at a field goal in this game was blocked.
09:15To give you an idea of what is going on in this game, this is a stat that you will
09:20not
09:20want to ever believe, but it is very believable.
09:24Field goal kicker for the Green Bay Packers.
09:28His name is Trey Smack, S-M-A-C-K.
09:30He has missed two field goals inside of 35 yards.
09:36This year in the NFL, only one missed field goal inside 35 yards.
09:41So Trey Smack did his job by missing two today when there's only one other one in the whole
09:45entire league this year under 35 yards.
09:47So that kind of tells you how goofy this game is going to be.
09:50And it looks like the Lions, unless they miss a chip shot field goal, which once again is
09:54not totally off the table, it looks like the Lions are going to win this game.
09:58We'll keep you posted on that as we get some more scores in and around the league.
10:06Currently going on, the Raiders trying to make a comeback against the Rams.
10:09Rams got up big early.
10:11Of course, the Raiders are still the most popular team in L.A.
10:13Forget about the Rams.
10:14The Raiders are losing 21-35 to the Rams.
10:18Sunday night football coming up right after us at 8 o'clock.
10:21Going to be the Chiefs and the Seahawks.
10:22That is good on good.
10:24And then your Monday night football game, Cowboys and Eagles.
10:27You want to talk about J-E-T-S, sucks, sucks, sucks.
10:30Cowboys, Eagles, sucks, sucks, sucks.
10:33Eagles, of course.
10:35Jalen Hurts, done for the year.
10:36He's got those blood clots in his heart.
10:38Cowboys, I mean, they're not a very good team either.
10:41Maybe they'll get a win tomorrow.
10:42Maybe they won't.
10:43And the Lions will mercifully win the game.
10:47They kick a last-second field goal, and they defeat Green Bay 20-17.
10:51That makes the Lions 4-2 on the season.
10:54The Green Bay Packers 4-3 on the season.
10:58This game was an absolute train wreck.
11:01So, there you go.
11:03But, you know, we kind of used to watching some of those.
11:05I mean, ugh, that's sloppy.
11:08But the good news is the Dolphins do win today, 28-35 against the Jets.
11:13And the Jets and Aaron Glenn remain winless in the division for now a year and a half.
11:20Feels good.
11:21I know I've said this like three times already, but Jets down, fins up, yuck!
11:25Let's rock.
11:26All right, we're going to hear from Jeff Halfley, the winning coach's first win as a head coach.
11:29What's he thinking?
11:30What's going on?
11:32That'll be next here on Game Day Uncensored, postgame, 104.3 FM, WQAM.
