00:00An hour before the runoff that will decide Brazil's future, President Lula da Siba held his final rally in Rio
00:06de Janeiro.
00:07A thousand few Copacabana will reach our colleague Belen de los Santos with the details.
00:15One day before the runoff, Copacabana became a sea of people mobilizing for Lula.
00:21For many, this was the culmination of weeks of organizing, all with one goal, to turn the race around.
00:28There is a very big risk for the country if Bolsonarism returns to power.
00:33So it has been difficult weeks, but a lot of struggle.
00:36We are very happy with this turn, with these street movements. This is wonderful.
00:41My father, in 2020, contracted Covid and passed away.
00:47And because of that former president, I authorized chloroquine.
00:53I am an orphan of the former government. I will never forget.
00:58For weeks, the campaign has extended far beyond the streets.
01:01Through social media, conversations with friends and family, and last-minute appeals,
01:06Lula supporters have been trying to win over undecided voters.
01:12Many people I know have really changed their vote at the last minute, so they are very hopeful.
01:18They are understanding a little more what democracy is.
01:23Currently, I am living in Sao Paulo, but I vote here, in Rio.
01:28And I came here to be able to vote.
01:30It is extremely important.
01:32It is not a secret to anyone that we are facing risks that we have no idea of.
01:37And Brazil can be the only salvation of Latin America right now.
01:40For these voters, the stakes go beyond Brazil's borders.
01:44They see Sunday's vote as a part of a wider struggle against the far-right across the region and around
01:51the world.
01:52We must fight the global far-right and oust Bolsonarism.
01:56Get Bolsonarism out of power.
01:58Don't let this dangerous family take power.
02:01For others, for children, for women, for black people, for the people who, unfortunately, are already gone.
02:08For those who were imprisoned, tortured in the dictatorship.
02:12And for those who will vote against Brazil.
02:15Amid growing global uncertainty and increased U.S. pressure in the region,
02:20October 25th will be at a final moment for Latin America.
02:25Tomorrow, my expectation is that we finish the election in a very peaceful way.
02:31But that it be 13.
02:33Today, I am here.
02:35Last Sunday, I was here.
02:36And tomorrow, I will be in the ballot box for them.
02:40Francisco Zamudio, Belén de los Santos, for TELAS Wrangler, from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
