00:00What if I told you that one of Israel's greatest leaders was a woman?
00:05Her name was Deborah.
00:07In the book of Judges, Deborah was a prophetess and judge who led Israel during a time of oppression.
00:14While many leaders relied on armies and weapons, Deborah was known for her wisdom, courage, and faith in God.
00:22She summoned a man named Barak and delivered God's command to fight the Canaanite army led by Sisera.
00:29But Barak refused to go unless Deborah went with him.
00:33She agreed, but warned him that the honor of victory would go to a woman.
00:38And she was right.
00:40Israel defeated Sisera's army, and according to the biblical account, Sisera was killed by a woman named Jael.
00:48Afterward, Deborah and Barak sang a song celebrating God's victory.
00:53Her story reminds us that leadership is not determined by gender, but by courage, faith, and obedience to God.
01:01And here's the question.
01:02How many people today know that the Bible tells the story of a woman who led an entire nation?
