00:00The greatest revenge story in the Bible isn't about murder.
00:04It's about a reversal.
00:06His name was Haman, the second most powerful man in Persia.
00:11And he hated one man, Mordecai, a Jew who refused to bow to him.
00:18So Haman built a gallows, 75 feet tall, just to hang Mordecai on it.
00:24He even got the king to sign a law to kill all of Mordecai's people.
00:30He thought he had won.
00:32But what Haman didn't know was that Queen Esther, the king's own wife, was also a Jew.
00:39And she was Mordecai's cousin.
00:41So Esther throws a banquet.
00:44She invites the king and Haman.
00:46And there, she reveals everything.
00:49She says, this man Haman plans to kill me and my people.
00:54The king was furious.
00:57So what happened?
00:59The king ordered Haman to be hanged on the exact gallows he had built for Mordecai.
