00:00Tonight's a really big game for, uh, Drake may, I think more importantly than a win,
00:05Drake may needs to once again, come out and just play well. I think ultimately, right.
00:10You're always going to look back on the head to head matchups, especially a guy in your draft
00:13class. Caleb Williams, uh, obviously went first overall. Drake may went third overall to your
00:18new England Patriots. And just like we compare, uh, in when we use like Brady versus my homes,
00:24we use the head to head matchups as kind of like the final kicker. It's like, even if my homes
00:29catches Brady in terms of super bowl titles, the fact that Brady beat him twice and is undefeated
00:34against my homes, once in the super bowl, once the AFC title game that matters. And that kind of
00:38ends up holding the final weight. And so I think tonight is a game. When you look back on the
00:42legacy of these two guys, if they're close, it's a, if it's a close race, those head to head matchups
00:48matter. And I understand that it's only the regular season, but it's still an important thing in the
00:52long-term kind of scope of it. So I think tonight's a big game for Drake may statistically on the
00:58road.
00:59What is a good game from Drake tonight? What would you like to see against this Chicago defense?
01:04I think you need to go over two 50 again. I would like, I mean, you know, I would love
01:08to see three
01:08touchdowns, but I think two touchdown passes, uh, is a fine kind of marker to set. And I don't want
01:14more than a pick. Like if you throw a pick, it's going to happen again. Drake may is a guy
01:18who tends
01:18to throw some picks, uh, especially if it's not his fault, like the Romeo Dobbs situation a couple
01:22weeks ago against Buffalo, but like no more than one turnover. I'm cool with that. Get me a couple of
01:27touchdowns. All right, Shime. Thank you. This is John from Attleboro. Good morning, John.
01:32Good morning. What's up? I haven't heard, just wanted to bring up a point. I haven't heard anyone
01:37mention. Maybe somebody has when they haven't listened, unfortunately, but, uh, records on
01:42Thursday night, Ben Johnson, only a small sample size. Oh, and one last season, the six to three game
01:48late in December, but Rabel is five and two. So I trust Rabel much more on three days preparation
01:55to have the team ready and pull out the win. I love it. Thank you. I mean, kind of early
02:02with Ben Johnson, as he pointed out, but you have, we have the better coach, right? Yeah,
02:08I would, I would say so. I would think that like, I would, the slight edge quarterback wise
02:15might, my opinion, it's probably a little bit of a Homer take might be Drake may. And probably
02:21most of that is because of his performance from last year. Right. Um, but I would say
02:26the coaching edge would be Mike Rabel in the sense of just like, just like the caller
02:32said, experience, been in these situations before short weeks, understand the download
02:37injuries. Very, we, I feel like Rabel is, has done a great job when it comes to situational
02:42football and having his team prepared. Not that Ben Johnson hasn't done that. It just,
02:46you know, Rabel might have just more experience when it comes to that. Cause he's been coaching
02:51longer. So yeah, I would give the edge to the, the Pats in that, in that sense.
02:55Slight correction too. I believe, uh, that Ben Johnson has never coached on a Thursday.
03:01Actually, I think in that 2024 season, that 63 game, he mentioned, I think Matt Eberflus was
03:05still the head coach of the bears for Caleb Williams, his rookie year. I'll double check that,
03:09but I'm pretty sure Ben Johnson took over in 2025 last year and they only played a Friday
03:13a game, which was the black Friday, which they won. So we talk about the Patriots and some of
03:17the injuries that they're going to have to deal with, especially at, excuse me, at the offensive
03:21line and how this Chicago team has top five when it comes to sacks. But one area where the Patriots
03:27should be a little bit happy, happy and have some positivity as that Chicago will be without
03:33Montez sweat, who is, was their leading sack guy last year on the defensive line for the Chicago
03:40Bears. So when you start to kind of look at this game plan and I, I know this matchup,
03:44I know you're going to be down with some guys. Chicago's also going to have some guys down
03:48as well. Um, when you start to factor those things in, and I think this is a great game
03:53for the Patriots. If they can win this game, I ultimately think, you know what? I would like
04:00that nationally teams would that, or people would then go, okay, the Patriots are serious,
04:05but I still feel like they'll make an excuse for a team like the Bears on why the Patriots
04:11the same way they kind of did with the rate they're doing with the Raiders now. But I
04:15think this is a great game for them. If they can win it to start to sway some national people
04:20who talk about football to be like, all right, the Patriots are for real. They beat another
04:25really good football team in the Chicago Bears on the road. So this is a huge, huge test for
04:30them tonight. And my expectations are that you should win this football game. I think it's
04:34going to be a close game. I know you're banged up, but they're going to be without some players
04:37that, uh, uh, that factor in as well to his credit. The beginning of the week posed a great
04:43question. Simple. Who would you rather Drake Bay, Caleb Williams? Well, Rob Gronkowski was
04:49asked this exact question by Kay Adams. And here is Gronk's answer on who he would take.
04:55They're both in the right situations. They really are. And Ben Johnson, I feel like, you know,
05:00hit a home run where, where he landed with the head coaching situation with Caleb there.
05:05And it's so hard because the systems like you got, you gotta, you gotta have that quarterback
05:10for the system that you're presenting to the table as an offensive coordinator. Um, and as
05:14an organization, I feel like they both, you know, landed in the right places. There's no doubt about
05:19that. Uh, but if I had to choose a quarterback, this is, this is tough. Uh, this is tough. Uh,
05:25it really is, but I'm going to go with Drake May. I really am. Uh, Kay, I just, I just
05:31like to touch
05:31on his ball, you know? And I feel like in the end, Drake May would be for me as well
05:37as a player,
05:38uh, he would be the ideal quarterback, you know, I, I mean, I'm not saying I wouldn't have chemistry
05:44with Caleb, but I feel like Drake May and I would be able to be on the same page with
05:48the chemistry,
05:49um, going into games, uh, and you know, just the way that he can process defenses. I feel like he's
05:54going to get better and better and better. Okay. Well, uh, Gronk heading into the hall
06:02at Patriot place in a couple of weeks, that's going to be awesome. And he is one who would
06:08choose Drake May. Oh, like, like me, like, uh, I think like Wiggy Curtis, really the only one
06:14on the show who would choose Caleb Williams. Yeah. And I think if you were, uh, in the other,
06:19what would that be? 44 States, uh, I think you would have a 90 to 10 Caleb Williams.
06:25So there's some bias here is what you're saying. Oh yeah. I, I believe that definitely is because
06:29Caleb, Caleb Williams is talented. I mean, look, look, I said, if you were like, if you're looking,
06:37if you're looking from the coach's perspective, like if I'm an offensive coordinator, who would
06:44I'd rather play, who would I want to be my quarterback? If I'm a player, would I rather
06:51Drake or Caleb? Hmm. I was concerned there for a minute. I was, you know, because we're
07:03like, did my radio just, no, no, no, no, no. This is such a guy get caught off guard by
07:07his own question. No, no, it's not caught. I'm really trying to think about this very,
07:12very well because you got the pineapple express this morning. No, no, no, no, no, no.
07:17How's your Thursday? I stumped myself. No, no, no. Cause you can't, there's a, there's
07:21a lot of moving parts that go on. The thing that I love about an off script mobile quarterback
07:29that I played with like Dante Culpepper. So I would probably lean more toward Caleb Williams
07:33because if you were a player, if I was a player, because
