A cinematic study of a city that was never designed for people.
Red cooling towers with nothing inside them. A skeletal gate big enough to swallow a refinery. A valley where thousands of satellite dishes are all tilted to the same elevation — and one figure standing at the bottom of it, small enough to miss and impossible to unsee once you find him.
This is the first entry in THE RECEIVERS, a series about structures built to receive rather than to house. The design language is deliberately industrial rather than futuristic: rust, cable trays, service ladders, floodlights. Nothing sleek. Nothing clean. Everything looks like it was built by people who had a deadline and no drawings.
If you follow megastructures, brutalist architecture, liminal spaces, industrial decay or sci-fi worldbuilding, the whole series is built on one question — what is all of this pointed at?
Technical notes: AI-generated concept art, assembled into a continuous sequence, original ambient score. 4K, vertical and widescreen masters. English subtitles; French and German tracks in progress.
In this series: the towers, the gate, the valley, the centre. Next: the signal.
