00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday morning weather update from the Met Office.
00:04We have some wet weather around today.
00:07The rain is pushing northwards, all courtesy of this weather front here.
00:12Slow moving in its progress eastwards as another one moves in through Tuesday night and into Wednesday
00:17and the winds pick up particularly across more southern areas.
00:20A breezy start to the day, a cloudy one across much of Scotland and also some patchy rain.
00:25More persistent rain towards border regions as well as England and Wales away from this east coast.
00:30But a chilly start across northern Ireland but at least though you'll see some sunshine.
00:35So through the morning the rain will be fairly persistent across England and Wales away from eastern counties
00:40and it could pep up a little bit, it could become a bit more intense as we head through the
00:44first part of today.
00:46Showery rain makes its way towards the northwest highlands and notice there's more wet weather on its way
00:52as it extends from northwest England, the Isle of Man, perhaps just clipping the far northeast of Northern Ireland
00:57and makes progress towards central and southern parts of Scotland.
01:01The rain then pivots a little bit as it arrives across eastern counties.
01:05The sun then comes out towards the west country, southwestern parts of Wales, Northern Ireland,
01:10particularly towards the west seeing that sunshine as well.
01:12Temperatures 12 to 14 Celsius.
01:15The rain overnight could turn heavy again across northern England as it continues progressing northeastwards.
01:23Showers for the northern Isles and it turns wet and windy.
01:26Northern Ireland and then Wales, the west country, central southern England into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
01:32A slither of dry weather in between, temperatures generally holding up.
01:36But by this point, this rain, which could again be heavy in places, will continue to push towards the far
01:43northeast of Scotland,
01:44replacing the showers through the day.
01:46At the same time, a windy start to the day across Irish and Channel coasts.
01:51The North Channel is seeing some brisk winds as well and this rain could cause problems on the roads,
01:56particularly across the Midlands, northern England, central southern parts through the morning into the afternoon
02:02with showers to follow towards the south as well as the west.
02:05Here's your city's list then through the afternoon and your temperatures 10 to 14 degrees Celsius.
02:11It turns wet and windy yet again as we head through to Friday.
02:15I'll see you soon.
