00:00Here in Ocean City, Maryland, this is just one of several major cities that are on alert this week
00:06due to a tropical low that is sitting off of the coast.
00:09Now, while this storm isn't exactly expected to make landfall, especially as even a named storm,
00:15it is bringing with it, though, potentially significant impacts, including tidal surges,
00:19leading to roadways looking like this in those low-line, flood-prone areas.
00:25This is going to be one of several tidal pushes that is going to occur this week
00:29especially as we move into Tuesday and Wednesday where they could see flood levels as high as moderate
00:35and a lot of these areas around here are very prone to these tidal surges
00:40and this road could potentially be under one to two feet of water in the next 48 hours
00:45as this tropical low continues to just sit and churn off of the east coast
00:49producing significant wave heights that do have local fire departments on guard
00:54keeping people away from the beaches and out of the water due to powerful rip currents,
00:59very high waves, and those tidal flood issues and beach erosions that we've been seeing
01:04just get pelted along the beach line here.
01:06We're going to be covering it here the next several days at AccuWeather.
